Yes, for sure! Did you notice how the fellow Great Blue Heron "sniffed" the fresh catch but left it alone and moved on with his life to get his own? I love that type of behavior in them (rather than fighting to steal someone else's meal)!

An impressive catch from a clever bird. 🎣 It reminds me of that scene from “The Boy And The Heron” where the Heron caught a huge fish and quickly swallowed it. Plus, I wonder if those were Cormorants that zipped by at 1:23. 🤔 Thanks for sharing! 🤗❤🐦

Oh yes, I remember the scene in that movie! I remember thinking, "Yip, good observation on their behavior, Miyazaki's team!". Yes, you're right, it was a Cormorant that zipped by! There are many resident Cormorants on and around that lake. Currently, I see over a few hundreds of them along with a few hundreds annual nesting shorebirds like Great Egrets, White Ibises, about 30-40 Roseate Spoonbills and this guy Great Blue Heron!
