Lithuania, as a country has always existed, it was just occupied several times. However, the Lithuanian language stayed alive to this day and is spoken by Lithuanians in Lithuania and many thousands of other Lithuanians abroad.

Thank you, most enjoyable! Ciurlionis is Europe's only doubly-talented painter-composer who earned a place in both encyclopaedia of Music (Grove) and Art. Anticipated 12-tone technique before Schoenberg (see Piano variations). Inventor of ostinato prelude. Magnificent polymath, much undervalued. Well worth discovering.

Thank you for covering a composer from my country! Your pronunciation was pretty okay in that I knew who you were talking about immediately (for Vytautas Landsbergis, the 'y' is pronounced like 'ee' and the emphasis in on 'Lands' in the last name). In case you ever have to say the name again: diphthongs in Lithuanian that start with the letter 'i' ('iu' 'io' 'ie') are less separate than you're making it - the 'i' sort of colours the vowel after it, such that 'Ciurlionis' only has 3 syllables, not the 4 you're using (ie Ciur-lio-nis. not Ciur-li-o-nis). Don't feel bad, though - Lithuanian is notoriously difficult to pronounce, including for Lithuanians!

Eventually! I've got a request queue that goes into next year and plenty of other unreleased episodes aside, but I'll put him on the list.

Classical Nerd, I respect your dedication for doing research on these composers.

Hopefully, the point is to do a video on an undervalued composer (such were J.S.Bach, Mozart, John Field of Ireland). Not Schoenberg who enjoys a fair recognition.
