What a great video and Sean was entertaining and wise. I'm fortunate to be close enough to visit when given the opportunity!

My favorite videos are these tours with plant guys (gals) who you can tell love what they do. As someone who retired from the industry I can appreciate their wealth of knowledge and their willingness to share it. Just wish I had the space to try some of these great plants.

Wow, 4 years! That’s why they cost so much…a lot of effort to get to that stage 😯 thanks guys 🥰

This is my FAVORITE kind of video--well, this and your one-day landscape jobs. It's fascinating to hear what plants are work horses in the yard! Thanks Jim!

Brag, brag! I have an Edgeworthia. Had one at my former home as well. That one was yellow, the current one is orange. As of now, the leaves have dropped and the buds are on, just waiting for early spring. I'm in zone 6 but have managed to keep them alive. The old one died to the ground one winter but it came back. Current one had to be moved to get more sun but doing well now. Also have a bunch of the Sweet Box (sarcococca). The most wonderful scent of all my plants! A little like hyacinth but more nuanced. Easy as long as they have shade and even moisture.

Great info on the horticulture industry. I had purchased an edgeworthii earlier this year. It was a rare chance offering at a local nursery which usually doesn't carry uncommon plants. My plant is planted in a woodland setting and it is most happy.

Great video!! I planted 3 Edgeworthia chrysantha in my woodland garden last year. Love this shrub! Also have many sweetbox Sarcococca confusa which were planted about 20 years ago….a beautiful evergreen shrub. Need to look for those viburnums!! Great information! Thanks!!

Of many times of reading about Sweet Box I didn’t understand that it liked some shade. Good news!

Great video! Explained well why some plants are so costly. I have a few of the ones that were highlighted, but I definitely will find room for several of the others mentioned. I am working on a screening bed to the East side of our garden. Many of these will be nice additions. Thanks for the tour.

Love the plum yews as the deer don’t like them! Also, they can take some shade. Lovely in New York!

Thanks for this type of visit! Jim, or anyone, could you pass along some sites or pages where I could learn various ways to shape young ornamental trees? It might be my terminology, but I can’t seem to find any place that’s filling me with the right info.

Very informative - I get ideas for adding new plants to my landscape from these nursery tours. Would love to see you tour some more northerly ones for us below zone 7 sometime so that I don’t get my heart set on some lovely plant you are spotlighting only to learn it’s a zone 7 and above… ☹️

I've never been a fan of the big green boring plants, but that was interesting to watch. I say if you want a green screen, find something that blooms or is fragrant if it will work for you. Different strokes for different folks.

Almost everything in the video flowers except the cephalotaxus or the chindo viburnum. That upright Camellia is amazing in flower and form. Thanks for watching!

Viburnum tinus in GA seems not hardy. Too cold it seems. My guess is that this nursery is near the coast??? Just a guess..

I’m in Z 6… is there a comparable Viburnum to Chindo that would work in SWOhio? I love how huge it gets.

Would love to know if Sean has run across many mutations in a plant species since they do a lot of seed production.
