I have so many of them in the woods behind my house. At least 10 but sounds like 100. Their long screeching is all you hear after dinner. Beautiful but so loud. The fighting they do too is crazy

When that second owlet makes an appearance, he looks like he had a serious night on the town...like he just got home and walked in the knothole from a boys’ night out. He seriously looks like he got hammered as “F.” Rather than food, he’s looking like, “Dude, somebody get me some Bufferin...or Nuprin...or Anacin...I’ve got the headache from hell.” After his sibling whispers back to him, he replies, “What do you mean they don’t make any of those 1980’s era pain medicines any more. I need my junk.”

IADORA KELLEY After watching part of the video (I have to admit that I had KZbin playing “in the background,” so to speak), I went back and restarted it for the very reason(s) you mentioned. At one point, I thought, “Wasn’t there a second owlet?” I only looked through the comment section in hopes that someone else made this observation, and then shared their thoughts. It seems that as soon as feeding time began, mom just kind of buried the other chick. Any idea as to why? Is it maybe the whole “runt” phenomenon and why waste resources if he/she is determined to be physically, and perhaps, genetically, the weaker of the two owlets? Update - Ok...I am not the most observant person, but somewhere around the 9:00 mark, a second, seemingly much larger, owlet has appeared from under mom. Thing is...it appears that mom is intentionally keeping food away from this chic. Now, at around the 10:30 mark, a THIRD owlet has appeared. Ok...I’ll watch the rest of this video a bit more intently.
