What are some of your favorite indie comics? 📚

I'm still newish to comics, so i haven't read many, but a couple that i would recommend: God country & buzzkill. Both very short (4-6 issues), & both by Donny Cates. I thoroughly enjoyed both. I think its rated mature for language & violence, but nothing extreme.

Another big invincible fan here. I recently read the comics, & at first i actually wasn't overly impressed, yeah it was good, but not like awesome. After around issue 50 though, it enters a level of awesomeness reserved for only a few series. After finishing the comics, i watched the show (for the first time), & actually just finished season 1 yesterday. What an awesome adaptation. I'm blown away by how they took the slow parts from the earlier comics, & pushed off the whole omni man thing. 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌

Very very well said! I think for me right around issue 12/13 was when I was FULLY in ha. But yeah, the adaptation is Very impressive

Check out Von Klaus’ work. Terror in the Trenches and Kitaru the Witch Hunter are better than anything I’ve read from Marvel or DC lately.

I haven't checked out too many "independents", lately. My collector dollars have been focused on Golden Age to Bronze Age Omnis/Absolutes for sometime. As an older collector "indies" are synonymous with Vertigo, under the legendary Karen Berger. Those collections are the gateway drugs for non-comic people, in my experience. Throw them the first two volumes of Fables, Y-The Last Man, Northlanders, The Unwritten...and a myriad of others. Love to see a dedicated video to the entire imprint.

Idk if I would call most of these “indie” kirkman, John’s, lemire are huge names in comics. Also image is the 3rd largest publisher
