I got a brand new one and it buzzes and the light comes on when you hold it in the air!? I`m a little pissed about it! Now I have to return it and wait.

I've become distrustful of using the AT underwater...In theory it sounds wonderful, in practice it leaks, at least mine did and I dare not take a chance again with a replacement!!!! It malfunctioned even after dried out and wouldn't stop beeping after leaving a target. Also greatly lost its sensitivity.

the circuit will be closed and they short out--its not getting close to them--its if they complete the circuit. Even putting small long AA batteries in a change box eventually coins will be in contact with both ends and conduct right through the coins.

Good tips, I will use the inner-tube one on my blacl pointer. #LyudmilaRGVK this pin-pointer is for just as the name describes, it's not made to swipe and pick up more than 4 to 5 inches. I have not found a pin-pointer that has been able to top the Garrett yet.

SUCKS! I was SO HAPPY when Garrett came out with the waterproof pinpointer.. until I bought it. That's right.. IT DIDN'T WORK! I am so pissed off, as this is NOW.. the SECOND Pinpointer I bought that DOESN'T work.. RIGHT out of the Box!
