Great iOS Delay Apps Review, Demo, Brief Walkthroughs Pt 1

If you ask people what their favourite FX app is, they regularly answer 'delay'. Threads asking 'What is the best delay app for iOS?' or 'What is your favourite iOS delay AUv3?' often appear in the Audiobus Forum (the spiritual home of, and best resource for, iOS musicians). So this is the first of a 2 part video series looking at some of my favourite iOS delays (all available for iPad, if you are an iPhone only user you may need to check compatibility), comparing them, demoing them, and focusing on what makes each delay distinctive.

I've bought fair few FX apps on iOS and usually go for multi-FX like Turnado, Elastic FX, AudioEffX, etc. In fact, the only one I have in this video and giveaway list is Classic FX. And I'll echo others in that I really love this format, I know you've covered plenty of generative MIDI apps but that would be a rad rundown as well IMO, with a sense of what you use for what melodic/rhythmic scenario. Great video, who doesn't love delays. I also use Gauss as a delay, but not like that, if you put it overdub mode and record, the "loop length" becomes the delay time and "loop decay" a reverse feedback knob, then you can use it as a live delay with all the filter and warble and even delay on the delay. I love that app... And now for the important part, the free stuff begging =) Mixbox looks really really nice, can't afford that one thou... Others I love to give a shot would be Looperator and Modley.

I do love a good delay! DL01 is simple but effective. they all have there own sound, brilliant video Gavin 🙏.. would you class YALED as a delay? the delay in reelbus is good, toneboosters should get a separate delay that would be good... im still trying to work out TTAP.. 😂...oops... velvet machine....

Hey Gavin, the delay that I'm most interested in is Yukawa. I'm hoping Icegear has a Sakura Sale soon (although apparently that has already passed, freakishly early this year), because I don't have any Icegear apps yet, and I'm very interested in them. I enjoyed your tutorial and update review on that app. But, among the apps on offer in your giveaway, I'd be most interested in winning the Eventide and the Bleass, in that order.
