Very good sound & performance from blakey. I recall having a pair of JBL 4410 from 90s & pairing them with naim electronics & what a dynamic & lifelike sound this combo made if a tad lacking in subtlety & sophistication of british spks. But they really kick ass when the music called for it.

I used to have a pair of JBL-100's that were awsome. I gave them up when I heard the 1992 PSB Stratus speakers. (stereophile Class B). The accuracy, imaging, deep sound stage, frequency response and most realistic sound I could afford at the time. Haven't used any other since. Made my vinyl sound better (smoother, less harsh) than CD's.

Notice how they all use tight jazz and music with perfect harmonics when testing speakers. This kind of music sounds almost same on a 200 dollar hi-fi speaker, and sometimes even really good 2.1 PC speakers with a average DAC. It's the ultimate cheat music. The harmonics are so perfect that speakers simply just need to exist, not produce. Never trust people that showcase with this kind of music only, then it's all snake oil.
