Great Lakes Treasure Hunting: Episode 15 - Edgewater Beach Glass Hunt

Welcome everyone to another scenic beach near downtown Cleveland featuring miles of coastline to explore. This Park also features a large "welcome to Cleveland sign," public restrooms and beach volleyball courts. This was my very first visit to this location and I will definitely be back in the near future! As always sit back, relax and enjoy today's travel adventure.

Since you were losing your marbles, maybe your mom can take some of that glass and make some pretty colorful marbles… ;-)… I’m in a wheelchair and I live in the Cleveland area and I can’t get to some of those places so I appreciate you giving me the virtual tear tour… Very cool

Thank you for watching and for the wonderful comment. I was losing my mind at how many beautiful specimens they were scattered around this beach. I understand my mother has lupus and a spinal fusion that prevents her from traveling with me. What do you do with the glass? Sure there's a lot of art things you can do with it. Would be cool to use your imagination

I see, this was my very first time checking this beach out. I really enjoyed my time here and I would definitely come back. I loved seeing the city in the background while walking along the shore. I'm sure it gets quite busy here on the weekends. Thanks for watching!

​@@lkarloff I am just glad they have cleaned up the beach since I was growing up. Back in the 80s and early 90s it was full of used prophylactics, syringes, broken glass, etc. You had to watch where you walked. Oh and the dead fish lol. It's a gorgeous place to visit now. I wonder if you brought a little shovel and a colander, you could find bigger pieces. :)

@@lkarloff I should say it was a big drinking spot because now there is beautiful "sea" glass everywhere.

@@andreadeamon6419 I remember the last time I was in Lake Erie. It was about 1995 or 1996 and I went swimming with some friends. When I got home, there had been a warning all day saying to stay out of the lake because the chemical levels were too high. I went off to college not too long after. I'm glad people can enjoy it again!
