I'm not able to find a way to apply motion blur to a text file independently. I have a situation in which I play a video on the background and text on top of it. I only want the text motion blurred, not the video. I'm sure this is possible, but how?

I cant change my shutter speed, I'm using nvidia shadowplay and max is 60fps. Will the first method with the text work with video?

Yes the CTRL+SHIFT+B method should work just fine. I recommend purchasing ReelSmart Motion Blur though. It's amazing for motion blur.

@@ScrapyardFilms I've actually purchased rsmb, but it makes my render times WAAYYY higher than usual, it took about 20 minutes for a 9 second clip lol

@@KoopahPlaysMinecraft yeah it adds to the time for sure but it provides the absolute best looking motion blur available. I typically split the clip where I want the motion blur added and then add it to the little section.

Vegas Pro motion blur, regardless of the settings, always blurs (trails) from one frame to the next. In reality for, let's say, a 24fps and 1/48 shutter speed you'll have the shutter open for half the time in between frames. So that means the blur/trail is just half the way between frames. The way Vegas does it is not at al realistic regardless of the settings, unfortunately.
