Thank you for taking us with you, virtually, with these videos. Marathon to Biscayne Bay, in one day, is impressive.

Here's a suggestion, Kim: For each day's run, include as part of your intro the land map that gives the viewer an orientation to where you are and your destination for that day. More helpful orientation than at the end.

Great idea! Thank you. That should be easy enough to do!

Hi Kim, any particular reason you all didn’t go on down to Key West?
@GreatLoop2 жыл бұрын
No reason other than personal preference. We originally planned to only spend one week in the Keys after having spent most of the winter in Fort Myers. We expanded to two weeks based on other commitments but decided to stay in Marathon for that entire time rather than move around. We did visit Key West a few times by car.

I love how you do the google map graphics. Have you done a tutorial on it or do you know of a good one?

We export a gpx file from our navigation software and then import it into Google Earth and do a flyover. I found a few tutorials for it on KZbin when I was first figuring out how to make it happen but I didn't save the links.

Is this course you mention a NASBLA course or something related to the Everglades?
@GreatLoop2 жыл бұрын
It's a special course that is offered online for boating in the Everglades.

I love how you are tracking each leg on google earth in “real” time. I do wish that was the Picture in Picture and the larger image was more video from the trip. Maybe even some of yourself speaking to the camera. Just a thought. There’s a lot of loop left to see. Safe travels.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been going with the assumption that with the limited real estate on the screen that me on camera was the least important thing. I can play with flipping the picture in picture so the route track is the smaller window. We'll see how that works.
