This game had it all. Big time hits. Amazing throws. A back and forth battle only to finish up on a Russell dime that drove the dagger right through the Patriots heart. This was one of those games it felt like the Seahawks realized they could be great.

You're so very kind, Hoop. I really had alot of fun putting this vid together. Sherman will always be one of my favorites too. "The Tip" is probably the most iconic moment in Seahawks history. He was so productive, a sure Hall of Famer. I do appreciate you watching and the encouragement. I'll keep'em coming!

This is the kind of stuff Pete Carol needs to watch. The grind and aggressiveness to try and bring in the current and soon to be Seahawks so we can play like what it means to be a Seahawks tough never give up and attack.

I agree team, Team 12s in regards to the grind and aggressiveness they used to display on that side of the ball. We'll never be able to re-duplicate that old defense but shooting for that as the model is probably pretty smart. Thanks for watching!

Great video. Love these Seahawk moments videos; thanks for doing them. Thought about a couple of somewhat obscure Seahawk games to suggest for future videos. The 99 monday night game at Green Bay, the first time Holmgren returned to Lambeau and the Hawks crushed the packers, shocking everyone. Also, a game in 95 at Denver. Hawks were down 20-3 at halftime, and the Bronco's were about to make it 27-3 when I think Robert Blackmon blitzed and nailed Elway causing a fumble, and one of the lineman returned it 80 or so yards for a TD. It was the spark of a great comeback win in Denver where we hardly every won back then. The game always stuck out as a bright spot in the middle of the decade of darkness.
@TheHawksNest12thman4 жыл бұрын
Great suggestions, Geese. I've got an ongoing list of options, and future vids, and I'll add those. It would be nice to get a 90's game into the Great Moments Series. I'll see what I can find on that game. My memory could be failing me but I want to say one of the players had a half time speech where they called out those not giving max effort. A decade of darkness is a great term. Might steal that. Thanks for watching, as always, 37Geese!

Isnt it funny how Wilson is great at these odd angle throws without perfect footing cross his body etc.... all I hear nowadays is "mahomes is the ONLY QB who can do such things". I Have mad respect for mahomes but still, RW3 has been doing these things for years and nobody cared
@TheHawksNest12thman4 жыл бұрын
I literally had to post Russell's throw to Sidney Rice against the Cardinals in his rookie year as some Chiefs fan twitter was going on about a similar, yet lesser Mahomes throw that would be about a 7 on the Russell difficulty meter, and the fan was saying Mahomes was the only player in the NFL who could make the throw. Yeah, it's a little aggravating, especially when you consider he has yet to receive a single MVP vote in his career. Mahomes is great. But so is Wilson. Someday they'll recognize.

@TheHawksNest12thman4 жыл бұрын
I figured there would be a few of these type of responses. Let's go back to the Super Bowl loss. I know the 1-yard play is everyone's fixation but the Legion of Boom was running on one engine throughout that game. Sherman had snapped ligament in his elbow that would have kept most players off the field. He played. Kam Chancellor torn his MCL two days before the game in practice. It would have kept most players off the field. He played. Earl Thomas separated his shoulder in the NFC championship game. It would have kept most players off the field. He played. Then in the first quarter of the game, after intercepting Brady starting slot cornerback Jeremy Lane tears ACL and breaks his arm on the return. To say that was the Legion of Boom anywhere near full strength is disingenuous.
