When you compare the raw, gritty vocals of Eddie Brigati on this song (one of my two favorites by the Rascals) and the angelic purity of his vocals on "How Can I Be Sure" (my other favorite Rascals song; just a coincidence), that's when you realize the astounding versatility of his voice. Not to take anything away from Felix Cavaliere, who had a very soulful voice and was a prolific songwriter.
