I do. I actually purchased my P1000 after watching his review and many others. It wasnt the best camera but it got me started. I then jumped stright into a Sony A7R III 7 months after buying Nikon P1000 and taking over 8k photos with it

Apparently Viltrox is presenting in April a new 35mm, 50mm and 85mm f1.2 from the Lab's series...if the do a similar job as they did with the recent 135mm f1.8...plenty of choice and top quality for a much better price.

Hello Jared, first of all, I want to thank you for all the videos you gave, because that's how I learned what real photography is, and how to take photos, I didn't know much about photography, and I didn't go to high school, but I learned with you and two other people and I'm still learning. You are the king of photography for me. I see that some people write nonsense... Nikon P1000 is a compact camera and it cannot be compared to Nikon Z6 III and Nikon Z9, they are two different worlds, P1000 is made for watching animals and spying on people. I used P1000 for 4 years because I didn't have money to buy D500 and D850, they were my favorite cameras. The lenses were expensive and that made me buy a compact camera. Now I have Z6 III and Z9, Nikon Z 180-600mm F/5.6-6.3 VR lenses Nikon Z 24-120mm F/4. Who doesn't want photo quality and goes for a photo shoot once a month is P1000 for him. I go almost every day and a half - 10 and a half rain has no limits for me, that's why I need quality photo equipment. I don't know if I'm an amateur or a professional, it's important that I'm healthy and that I'm alone in nature with animals and my cameras. Need extreme lowlight at low cost? IF you can shoot manual focus have a look at Rokinon SP 35mm 1.2 ( get it in EF mount plus a speedbooster 😉 to also shoot it at f/0.85 ) or for Canon Laowa RF 35mm 0.95

Hi. Feel better soon. So I have a question about future Nikon Z lenses. The widest prime lens for the Z mound is 20mm. There is also a zoom lens 14-24mm. I was wondering if there are any plans for Nikon to make a wider prime lens like 12mm for the Z mount? Seems like I am stuck between 20mm prime or 14-24 zoom for the widest possible lens to get. Laowa has a Z mount 10mm f/2.8 full-frame rectilinear autofocus lens for zoom ultra wide angle, also consider the Nikon Z 14-30mm f/4

You forgot to mention that the P1100 will completely suck at taking videos of stars fully zoomed in optically and digitally with auto-focus enabled. It will be a massive chromatically aberrated mess.

Amateur Photographer here, I bought a used Lumix ZS80 for its 720mm zoom, making it a great choice for concerts and venues where higher-end cameras aren’t allowed. It has a 1/2.3-inch sensor, and the image quality in low-light conditions isn’t the best. However, since it supports RAW shooting-a feature missing in Canon’s SX series-you can recover a lot in Lightroom. The only other compact with RAW support in this range is the Nikon A1000, but it costs twice as much.

First off, get better soon buddy!!!!!! I owned a P1000 several years ago and it is a fun and gun camera. I am glad to see Nikon keep alive some of their bridge cameras, that is because that is all it will ever be!!! I missed my ole P1000 but wouldn't contemplate getting another one unless it was dirt cheep! I recently came close to buying the next one down the line the P950 for $250!!! Now that is a steal of a deal. Even with the Nikon new release, I could not justify paying anything above $300. There is just no path forward with a bridge unless you are selling it to get a DSRL or mirrorless. A good starting point for used kit would be the D5600 and you can even find some good deals on used D7200!!!! Now we are perhaps up to $500 but you have somewhat of a path forward or at least a good start in the Nikon world (There are other choices some much better). Moonpie

jared i BEG you, NEVER shoot the Z9 or Z8 at 400 iso. It's the last step be4 the 2nd native which is 500, meaningh the dinamyc range/noize performance was around the same as ISO 3200
