The amazing, indescribable, irreplaceable Terry Kath. One of the greatest solos in all of rock music. RIP.

I've heard that no less than Jimi Hendrix said this was the best guitar solo he had ever heard.

Robert Lamm wrote the song but Peter Cetera sings lead. This is actually the 4th or 5th song of the set but Danny is such a madman on the drums he kind of knocked his high hat off on the previous number.

...great introduction to this band, that has so much more to offer...highly recommended to follow them more. PS. their very first song of their very first album is called 'Introduction', and its mind blowing!! Don't know a live version of it, but recommend anyway the studio one - fab-tastic!!

RIP Terry. He was a beast on the guitar. To die the way he did was sad. Jimi Hendrix loved his playing. That's a hell of a compliment

Still can't come to terms with how he needlessly died, I just will never understand what a mistake he made. Loved his immense talent so much. God the music he had yet to make. RIP my hero.

These guys were Musicians, and you could tell they loved making music with each other. Thanks for sharing this one. Have you heard anything yet by Blood, Sweat And Tears? Same era, similar brassy, bluesy sound. I think you might enjoy them too.

Terry Guitar. Robert Keyboards, and Peter Bass are the 3 lead singers. Peter was recruited for his voice and was considered the best although they each had their own styles and sound that would work for a particular song.

Great reaction, Blessing. That's definitely one of the more legendary live guitar solos that you'll ever get to enjoy. Vocalist Peter Cetera is legendary as well. He eventually went solo, and deservedly so. A great sample from his solo period would be "Glory of Love." ❤️

Great Show. Try Rare Earth "I'm losing you." on Ed Sullivan IN 1970 . 20 gals in afros ice skating and dancing to a fantastic song. Most variety shows in that era had live vocals only for a performance. But something is missing in the group of skaters. Watch the video of David Bowie confronting MTV about the lack of diversity of artists music on MTV. MTV was gigantic then.

Three lead singers in Chicago. The Bassist Peter Cetera, Guitarist Terry Kath & keyboardist Robert Lamm all sing different iconic hits from this band. This is just the beginning of the rabbit hole you will need to go down on this iconic band. Stick to the 70s Chicago. Unfortunately, the band didn't really survive the accidental gunshot death of guitarist Terry Kath. In the 80s, producer David Foster ruined the band by phasing out the horns and focusing only on the voice of bassist Cetera and putting out commercial ballads totally stripping the soul of this band. BTW, Jimi Hendrix said that Kath was his favorite guitarist and that he was a better guitarist than himself.
