Been going to this port since the early '60s. Left Willacy County after high school in 1971. I still visit the Port and Raymondville occasionally during vacation from my home in sunny San Diego, CA. Sure miss the quiet country life in Port Mansfield. Great scenic drive going out there.

I loved going here during covid, it was so peaceful and I would just spend the night in my car and wake up to a little breeze and the sound of gulls. It was a little piece of paradise.

That pier would be great again if they ever fix the damn lights, the old pier is gonna be better with the renovation they are doing with it, that town is my home away from home
