Ben, lecture was amazing, I watch a lot of Simon's Titled Tuesdays replays. Sometimes he rage quits 😂; however, because he's such a dynamic player regularly beats the super GM's and has great results. His signature really is piece activity and dynamic play at all cost which simply overwhelms players not ready for it. Anyway thanks for the great content.

Some lovely examples of attacking play from the Ginger GM. When I try to play like this I usually lose. It takes courage, a good eye for tactical play in complicated positions and an attacking instinct to play like this, and few players have that to the degree that Simon does, which is what makes him such an entertaining player to follow. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

How did I not know that Ben had beaten Shakhriyar Mamedyarov? When I first started watching chess content online, back in 2016 or 2017, the first channels I subscribed to were Agadmator and the CCSCSTL, and the Chess Club led me directly to Ben. How could I have been a Fangold for this long and this is the first I'm hearing of this? Outrageous. And highly suspicious. Now I must find the game. ...and yes, I just called myself a "Fangold." 😂

The blitz match Ben and Simon played is great. By the end Simon is throwing absolute haymakers at Ben, who is hanging on and defending like a lion. The dual commentary match between Simon and John Bartholomew is also one of my favourite chess videos, Simon goes for some utterly lunatic attacks which John defends in his calm manner.

There's a game Korchnoi - Williams, a KZbin video: " Korchnoi CRUSHED 👾 with the King's Indian Defense! - Korchnoi vs Simon Williams " But it doesn't count - Simon doesn't wear a beard there. Hah! At 19:19, when Simon's opponent played Bd2, and Ben said "I think Qc2 is more common, but Bd2 is good, too" I misheard him. I thought that he said "Qd2 is more common," so I spent the next five minutes trying to figure out how Qd2 wasn't just blundering your queen. 😂 Also, at 23:07 Ben says that Simon "Gets his bishop out of hock." Out of hock? Really? He *pawned* a bishop? But a bishop is better than a pawn, why would you ever want to pawn one?😂 Damn...I crack me up. 😂
