Dubov is easily my favorite player to watch, his style is so amazing, chess has become so much opening theory and endgame technique but Dubov just wants KO his opponents in the most brutal fashion possible, such a breath of fresh air

@@kylezo I already had one game against nepo and already had a rapid game beating magnus which I wanted to include and wanted to do mostly classical games. That was the first one off the board - I think daniel king has a good vid on that game the goal was beating nepo in a boring drawish opening beating magnus absolutely obliterating a "regular" gm (2500ish) and out tacticing karjaken with a queen sac which is why I chose those games

@@Katzenblick I don't think there's one playing style of Soviet Russia, given that it would include Tal and Smyslov, Spassky and Petrosian, Karpov and Kasparov. It's more complex than that - which is a good thing, I think.

Seems more like Tal than Morphy to me, Dubov almost never plays positional chess
