I've had this wallet for over a year and have had no problems with using the pull tabs without squeezing the sides. It doesn't effect the functionality of the cards at all. I put my most used cards in the inside quick access pockets anyway. Great wallet.

So I just got this wallet, and in my initial testing I had the same issues as you when trying to squeeze to open it. However, I found that if I squeeze and pull the tab at roughly the same time it works perfectly! Start to squeeze a little first and then pull. Doing it that way allows for it to open the way it's supposed to. Probably because the pull tab gives it that little extra force it needs to open properly. Once you learn that trick it becomes incredibly easy to use and I don't feel as though my cards are forcing their way past the magnets like when you don't squeeze at all.

Like you mentioned, it seems you are supposed to place only one card on each side in the internal slots so that the sides stick together when the wallet is closed and then keep the wallet closed when you squeeze so that the inner side of the pocket is held in place and acts as a counterbalance to the squeezing force allowing the pocket to open more easily.

Wow they finally fixed all the issues that the original Wally had. The original had no magnets at all, just a squeeze to open, and let me tell you, after years it definitely doesn’t have the same tightness from new. So the fact that this has much better security for everything inside is great. Should be better with the test of time. Keep in mind this is a “minimalist” wallet so I’m not that guy stuffing more than 10 cards total in my wallet.

Out of curiosity, do the following have any affect on the squeeze to open?: 1. Does using just 1 card per inner slot make the squeeze to open any more consistent? Just curious if maybe 3 cards was taking up too much space/providing too much rigidity 2. I see they have an RFID blocking version. Do you happen to have that model? I'm wondering if this version would have additional rigidity from metal plating

I do not have the RFID version. I mentioned that in the video. Regarding the inner pockets. I mentioned that I only put the 3 cards in the inner pockets for demonstration purposes only. I tried putting 1 in each pocket with similar results. The issue isn’t with the number of cards, it’s a matter of how strong the magnets are.

What attracts me is that money clip. It looks so sexy opening the slim wallet to a secured stack of bills. And it’s slim versatility to hold a lot of cards. I just wish there was a cheaper option without the gimmicky pull tabs.

This sucker is squeezing the pocket too low and he's complaining it does not work right. You can see it clearly in the video he's squeezing too low. I think the magnets are cool. I feel sorry for companies that have to deal with people like this.

I’ve had it for three months but due to the imperfections as you have outlined in your awesome video it is pretty much useless to me. My main two wallets that I alternate between are the TaurusCamp base wallet and the open seas Hubei.

That's a great wallet. I am using it the last 2-3 weeks and I really love this wallet. Today I placed an additional order with the brothers of wally. Cool video man. You need a little bit to work with your demonstration. I advice you to check the videos from Mark and walletopia. For your info you, in the internal pockets you put your cc cards. One in each pocket. Also you can pay contact less. In the outside pockets with pull tabs also is where RFID applies, I would advice you to put max 4 card in each pocket. So 10 cards are more than enough. Plus notes. I definitely recommend this wallet. I want to mention that you can use it with CHF . Fits them all. Very cool. With euro I am not so sure if fit correct BUT for this reason I ordered the wally Euro (is going to retired soon) 😀

The original Wally was my favorite wallet, lasted a few years. I recently purchased “the classic” to replace it and it’s complete garbage. As an example, I pulled the wallet out at the store the other day and all of my cards from one side dumped all over the floor. Stupid. They should’ve just kept it the way it was.
