I just checked the timings of the PCC special event and the start time on the 27th is 10pm UK time which is way to late... I will still be streaming that day but it will be far earlier than that!

Brilliant content George. Been iRacing consistently for about 18 months now and watching you find your feet and make the same mistakes and ride the same rollercoaster we all do in the early days is incredibly refreshing to watch. Happy racing from down under mate! 🇦🇺

@Jonesy95A Thanks a lot! It is a rollercoaster I am quickly learning to embrace. It's wild but a lot of fun. Hopefully we will see each other on track at some point

The replay cam is awesome. Great video to watch as I'm juuuust getting started on iRacing. Get some padding for the chair though haha.

I added a cushion during the four hour PCC race yesterday, which definitely helped. Glad you like the replays!

If the microphone was quieter and the car sounds a little louder, the sound of the YT video would be balanced, so you could also enjoy the feeling of driving.. And a Thank you for the opportunity to subtitle and capture the exciting moments on the track.

13:20 Just a lil hint there for you, its not quite usual to hit the breaks you can just lift through the corner here with the M2. could´ve already avoid the crash :) Good racing keep it up

Missed the stream, but good race again. Yash was probably a bit too excited and over did that corner. Luckily you were there to help guide him round it!
@Deckchair_Racing26 күн бұрын
Haha always happy to be someones extra brake
@SergejGrabun27 күн бұрын
That was same guy (Yash), twice, in same corner. First time you kinda invited him to go there, 2nd - he just used you as a wall to stop :) (but u also missed turn in point) One tip: try and spot yourself tapping brakes mid corner, even after or around apex - try to slow down enough not to do it as you upset balance of the car when u tap/tap/tap :)
@Deckchair_Racing26 күн бұрын
Thanks Sergej. First one was fair, I probably shouldn't have opened the door for him but I didn't realise it was the same guy! As always thanks for the tips as well!

Really enjoying these videos George, I'm new to sim racing and you and I have very similar pace so it's good to watch something relatable. If you start thinking about putting a team together for endurance stuff that would be fantastic.
@Deckchair_Racing27 күн бұрын
Thanks a lot, I'm glad you're enjoying it. When I sort myself out a bit I'll get a discord going and potentially start doing some endurance stuff so maybe then we could get a team together

I found leaving in neutral full throttle and banging into first on the green is a little faster start. Just gotta modulate the throttle
@Deckchair_Racing27 күн бұрын
Alright, I'll have to give that a go when I get a chance

Good racing mate, one thing i noticed is your ffb is about half the strength of what it should be, use the auto function on the black box to get some extra info through your wheel for free. I'm not an alien but my best is a 45.2 so if you fancied i'd be happy to jump in a server/discord if you wanted some tips?
@Deckchair_Racing26 күн бұрын
I just have it set automatically through the settings in game which is what I read was recommended in a lot of places. It's only a Thrustmaster T300 so it hasn't got masses of ffb anyway. Thanks a lot! When I have the time I'm going to try and get a discord together for people then I might take you up on it

You left the door wide open that's why he passed you.
@petecook100027 күн бұрын
As soon as I saw you open the door at Knickerbrook George, I knew Yash was going to force his way through. He'd pulled off the exact same move on you earlier in the race. Hard racing I think more than malicious intent. Well done on P4 though. Its a tricky car that can easily bite you're if not careful.
@Deckchair_Racing27 күн бұрын
Yeh, at the time I hadn't realised it was the same guy. When I was watching it back it was so obvious that he was looking for it! Live and learn though
@Django4527 күн бұрын
@@Deckchair_Racing I think it was you overslowing into that corner that caused him to bump you before finish. Little he could do to predict that sudden strong brake. Overall when you were going for the P3 through the 2 guys ahead, they were overslowing in strange places as well, giving you a hard time planning your overtakes and lines to get them easily. Did not really feel they were placing the car that well when defending, just driving a bit unpredictably IMO. But it's rookies, after all. P.S. I am Jan Jančík from your stream, you sort of remembered my "less you brake, more you turn" but you keep dropping brakes too fast before even trying to turn. a bit of brake (around 10% or so) on entry can make the car turn better because loading up the fronts a little more gives more grip to them.

I just re-subbed to Iracing after a 10 year hiatus and jumped into the m2.... that thing feels like a boat. Took me a few sessions to get the handle of it but im still no where near decent.
@Deckchair_Racing26 күн бұрын
Don't worry mate, I'm nowhere near decent either. Doesn't mean you can't have a good time though!
@JaegerLeo27 күн бұрын
I see you're in C class now, but have you considered trying out the Cadillac Race Car in D class? Should be fun with that much power and decent downforce.

I've been having some fun in the Honda Civic touring car actually. Just trying to get a bit more comfortable in it before I make a video but it is at the Nordschleife this week which is cool. Might try and get a video recorded this week of that if I have time
@Injustrial27 күн бұрын
You're still entering the corners too shallowly. Braking parallel to the track edge is your goal. Still, your car control has definitely gotten better since the stream. Vamos!
@Deckchair_Racing26 күн бұрын
Thanks Injustrial, all thanks to your help of course!

I absolutely do not like the handling of these cars compared to the MX5, couldn't get them slowed or turned and was miles off the pace yet in the MX5 on the same track I was right there. Great race though, you seem to have got to grips with these better than me.

Just had my first ever race in iracing, Charlotte Speedway, and it was a blast untill I got wrecked lol. I am just using a controller tho, wheel is on order. Definetely a lot of fun.
@Deckchair_Racing27 күн бұрын
It is loads of fun! Glad you enjoyed your first race. It will be a totally different experience with a wheel
@Sethsimracing27 күн бұрын
All we need is for iRacing to make the Prototypes as realistic as these cars seem to be. They seem to simulate oval stockcars(aside from the tire model) and these lower-powered road cars really well, but they lose out with the faster prototypes. Also about that final lap incident, I think it's a possible protest for sure. Looked fairly intent.
@Deckchair_Racing26 күн бұрын
They are apparently working on that so hopefully a fix will be in at some point. I opened the door for him a fair amount as well though. Just going to take it as a learning point and move on

So many good battles! Too bad this last guy did what he did... Also I'm rookie too and I like this car more than Mazda!
@ErbieGerbies27 күн бұрын
Yeah that wasn't just hard racing, they had no claim to that line, they weren't even half a car length along side you at the corner. Great race though, well done!
