That was a great start to my day. Rough break for Johnny Smoke. As a Ford Econoline owner, I was cheering for Steel City’s Baja Breaker. I love those 3rd Gen Econolines! The half time show was so funny, I really laughed out loud. Poor Billy. Maybe he should have used four of his rubber ducks as air-ride suspension on Johnny’s truck. 😂

On the halftime show, which was fantastic by the way, I nearly expected the gorilla to toss Johnny Smoke's vehicle around like in the old American Tourister luggage ads, if only to dislodge the stuck Billy 😂 I'm not sure Billy is ASE Certified though!! Eight laps of Duck-tacular Dune action! Larro with amazing performance and in a casting I love to see compete here!! 💯😎🏁

Great show!! Curious, Lap 1 was interesting 🧐 Shawno lost a point due to the coal car, understandable, but papa nearly caused him to DNF because he flipped. Seems like papa should have received some sort of penalties for not crossing the finish on his own 😂. Probably no right or wrong answer for this situation. Does that mean drivers can hide behind the ramp to avoid losing a point to the coal car? Regardless this track is so much fun! Thanks for another great episode mark!

Thanks, bud. And I have thought about penalties, but I'm gonna keep the scoring as is until the tournament ends. Just like with the Scrambler, a driver can be pushed thru the finish line. It's happened many O' times. Yes, a driver can avoid losing a point by landing between coal cars, straddling a coal car, hiding behind the landing ramp, or even flying off sideways into the HMB guy's Winnebago! Hope that answers all the questions.

Well it might help Johnny Smoke if he used the same chassis as the rest of the vehicle? It's one thing to modify a casting and it's another to just completely offset it, even though he was successful making it this far.... I figure he was outclassed this far in the tournament and needs to find a better solution to his problem? Larro seems to have a knack for modifying off-road vehicles, as this isn't the only 4x4 tournament he's been successful in……?! Congrats Larro! 🎉🏁🏴‍☠️

It's a good question. So, if the caboose gets knocked off, Billy will keep the throttle down to keep the patrons happy. If he circles the track and no other car is in the way, he'll either stop or crash into the first accident. Once he stops the train, no more points can be acquired. We had a situation where Lando hit his owner's gondola car (R-Lo), knocking it and the caboose off the tracks. The train circled around but before Billy could reach Lando's accident, Lonestar was on the tracks and stopped Billy, so both drivers got +2.
