Amplitube 5 is my weapon of choice for streaming right now. The amp mic'ing section, with it's positioning and room mics, has always been the most real sounding out of all the vst modellers to my ears.. however even fully expanded it still lack a few of the more sophisticated and varied pedal options that Helix Native carries, for example.

It sounds just like the real deal so you do still need a gate. It's the same with my axe fxiii. These modeller units really do model everything about a real amp and set up. It's crazy accurate these days.

Hi CGS. Great playing and information. I'm coming back to your channel (and the land of the living really) from just a dreadful period. My drummer took his own life after being bandmates, and more importantly friends, for 23 years and I've had a really hard time coping. Anything music related has been especially difficult. Not to be a downer though because I'm learning that you don't necessarily get over it but you do get through it. This video on Amplitude 5 MAX is awesome. I've always enjoyed your channel and it has just gotten better. Everything is top shelf. I'm catching up and looking forward to seeing what I've missed. I hope you're well and have a great weekend.

Brother firstly a huge welcome back. I'm so sorry to hear your terrible news and sending you positive vibes to find ways to ease your pain and cope with such a loss. It's so hard to get to grips with the feeling that you had no opportunity to step in and help. That's one of the worst things for those of us left behind. My buddy jumped from a bridge onto the train tracks 30 years ago and I still deal with it. It does sink in to normality eventually but never completely goes so I feel your pain brother. It feels less raw with time. 🙏
