This particular tour was advertised through social media and possibly even the local papers? Most, if not all heritage tours and excursions are advertised online, for example Steam Incorporated advertise their upcoming excursions through social media (Facebook, Website). Same with heritage railways and their operating days.

Through social media again, you can get whats called the 'Master Train Plan'. It tells you what trains are running on what days and the times they run.
