Great Stand Access is Key

Great access to your stand can be a game changer. It can be a lot of work but can really help you have success. The ability to get in and out of a stand without spooking deer can help you get the target deer you're after.

i keep a nicely manicured path to my stands. But now my paths are having leaves fluffed up all over them. I first thought it was Turkeys following my path and stratching the leaves up looking for worms and insects. But, I was wrong. You know what is screwing up my manicured paths through out the winter even in January and Ferbruary? Robins, freakin Robins! Hundreds of Robins that use to fly south for the winter are now staying in New Jersey and messing with my hunting. The Robins can't get worms from the lawns in the winter so they resort to going into the woods where they can rake up the leaves to find food. They are driving me crazy.

Oh wow! That’s crazy! Sound like a pain. We have birds in the winter we call (leave tossers) sounds a deer coming every time. Good luck this season👍🏼
