Thanks so much LivingCountry! I appreciate you watching my video and taking the time to comment! It definitely takes some time practicing on some of these songs that have more complicated rhythms and fingerings, but it’s super fun when they come together!

yeah another good one! I also like the low end mix and backup harmony.

Thank you onzkicg!! I really enjoy when I can spend the time to put harmony in! I still have to really work at figuring the parts out when I’m working on it, but it’s so much fun when it starts to all come together with multiple parts! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

Great cover! Would like to see more Phil Wickham covers in the future, his songs are great. I like the way you sing in a Lower key, it makes it easy to sing along.👍
@DavidLockard3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Joseph!! Yeah, Phil Wickham sure does sing through the rafters sometimes!! I usually end up bringing his songs down 3 or 4 semitones to get it in a comfortable key for me 😄

Great cover. I'm a learning guitarist, is he really muting the strings when there are X's on the chord diagrams? Some are easier, but some look ridiculously hard..
@DavidLockard3 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve B! Thanks for watching the video. And yes, I do mute the strings where there are Xs. Like you said, some of them are pretty easy and some of them took a good bit of practice to pull off! But I’ve really found that the better I get at muting and being able to use only some of the strings while still strumming, the easier it is for me to play interesting and fun lines! Thanks again for watching!

Thanks Jonathan! I do have a few versions of Battle Belongs on my channel, they aren’t the same format as this video, but here’s a link to an acoustic version I did outside kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZnXZKFvgaxgrZI and here’s a link to a mini acappella version of just the chorus kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWbbeq2CpbSiha8 and here’s a live version that I did with our worship team at one of our Sunday morning services kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIWQkH57griogpo . Quick what strings do you use and what guitar pick. I use 12/50 for string and .73mm
@DavidLockard2 жыл бұрын
I usually use the Elixir HD Lights 13-53 and a 1mm pick. I’ve used much thinner picks in the past but I really like the amount of control and power I can get with the 1mm pick depending on how tightly I hold it.

Insane intro! Thanks for the listed chords, I’m gonna try to do a acoustic loop with my guitar with it being a drum and chords. I’m assuming it’s in the key of G but to confirm, is it?
@DavidLockard2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Fred! Yes, it’s in the key of G. Would love to see what you come up with on that!
