Tbf, they’re Pokémon from distant times, so it doesn’t evolve from our present time phanpy Maybe the reason they don’t evolve or don’t have any known pre-evos is because the methods were different from said times (though iron treads is kind of obvious as to why it can’t procreate…..yet)

If you join a player in the union room that has scarlet and you go to area zero you can catch your own paradox pokemon from scarlet IN violet. Shininess is also carried over so if you see a shiny they can come by and catch it instead

I think it could go one of two ways, both ending in a tie: Great Tusk has the lead for a bit, then iron treads uses quark drive to boost it’s attack and they just kill both of them They don’t fight because they’re both related to donphan

I may be late. But I say great tusk on this one. Not just because it looks cool, but because of its typing. While some of iron treads strongest moves are electric types, he can't hit great tusk due to his ground typing. But great tusk is part fighting as well, so that means he hits super effective against Iron treads. So in my opinion, great tusk is better.

Great tusk is by far a better Pokemon in competitive due to the fact it can abuse rapid spin very effectively, while getting both utility moves and great offensive moves. It's also disgustingly bulky for how fast it is.

In all honesty, I prefer iron treads. Considering I didn't use a fire type on my playthrough and was just hopping around doing whichever gyms and titans, treads gave me a run for my money. Took me a few tries to beat it. Also I like how it curls into a ball, the noises it makes, etc. What won me over though is how it's backstory is like "it's this cruel pokemon that injured researchers!" but if you wash it in game or sometimes when you talk to it, it smiles at you and waves it's ears happily. It made me feel like iron treads is secretly soft hearted or that it had a soft spot for me. I ended up liking it a LOT more than I expected. Plus, treads literally rocks itself to sleep. That is way too precious

Iron treads has more utility, special defense, speed, and a better typing for hazzard removal such as an immunity to toxic spikes. Iron treads can rapid spin, setup rocks, and volt switch. Great tusk hits harder and is more physically defensive. It's the premiere "threatening hazzard remover"

I think Iron Tread has a more significant role. While everyone wants a rocker and spinner that can fire off EQs like Landorous. Iron Tusks type and boosts will give it a edge in the long term if it's as a non utility poke.
