I spent a couple sandwiches hunting roaring moon, and found zweilous, gible and sneasel before roaring moon finally appeared. What was really great about this is that It was on my birthday, and this shiny roaring moon had the birthday mark. Definitely the rarest pokemon I own in scarlet.

I just wanted to point this out for anyone who didn’t notice, but Alfornada is a town known for its pottery lifestyle with kilns and buildings made out of tile everywhere, so where would authentic Sinistea spawn if they’re actually made from pottery? Small details like this are why I love these games with all my heart!

If you want to shiny hunt a Zoroark, you can use a Dark Sparkling and Encounter sandwich then go to the Groundblight shrine. It will only spawn as Isolated Mabostiffs and Honchkrows. Regular Honcchkrow and Mabostiff spawn in packs so its easy to tell. Zoroark will also spawn more than every other pokemon. Then from there you just auto battle everything until you find one you can't auto battle. Did this and got my shiny Zoroark in one Sandwich after 28mins or so.

@@samreddig8819 no since gimeghoul and it's evo are in the undiscovered egg group, any pokemon in it are unable to breed, this includes legendary/mythical Pokemon, baby pokemon, special pokemon (ie. Cosplay/ash hat Pikachu, Ash Greninja, paradox pokemon, and the gimme line), and surprisingly Nidorina and Nidoqueen

Shiny Dratini is pretty hard to find in Violet. It’s the same problem Roaring Moon has where if you use a sandwich for dragon Pokémon, Dreepy and Drakloak will spawn with the Dratini in a pool that only Dratini spawn in, in Scarlet.

I killed the first shiny roaring moon in the most sad way I sent in my Gardevoir and chipped the roaring moon with a few attacks until it was in the red then it hit me with flamethrower and it burned me and my Gardevoirs synchronize kicked in killing the roaring moon

(I always breed with ditto so sorry if I got the first part mixed around) unless you breed something caught in a masterball, then the offspring Do get put in regular pokeballs edit: it's also why apricorn ball pokemon are so sought after on the GTS! so people can breed their own

9:13 I caught my shiny Blaze Tauros today. First, I tried the fighting sandwich, which spawned a whole lotta regular ones. Then, switched to the fire sandwich, which only spawned groups of Tauros with the elemental variant in them. Took me 3 overall resets for it to appear. I love this subtle shiny, partly due to it being fighting type. I named him ‘96 Chicago, after the Chicago Bulls winning the championship in ‘96. Great hunt that requires some paying attention. Well worth it.

I got both shiny female salandit and shiny female combee in the same 2 hour session 😆 Combee was full odds with shiny charm. Salandit was with the remaining 2 minutes on a fire sandwich after collecting an Iron Moth. Must have been my luckiest run ever!

I remember I wanted to mark hunt Tatsugiri, but they kept using Memento. So I went to get a Sinistea to evolve it into Polteageist because it learns imprison and memento. So I caught one, went to the Socarrat Trail to get the Cracked Pot, went to evolve it and... it didn't work. The one Sinistea, the very first one I caught, was authentic.

What’s funny is that moments before, I quite literally was telling my friend that if I were to ever encounter a shiny Tatsugiri in the wild, I probably wouldn’t even notice it because their shiny forms look so similar, lololol. I somehow managed to find a random Female Shiny Salandit in Alfornada Cavern on my 2nd day playing the game and it was my first non-PLA random Shiny Pokemon in a main series Pokemon game in more than a decade. What made this shiny even better was that this was the first female wild Salandit I had found. It's an amazing shiny and I love it!

The second shiny I've encountered in Scarlet was a full odds blue Basculin. No hoards. No sandwiches. Just total dumb luck that I saw my first blue Basculin and thought "hey I've not seen a blue one yet." Was totally surprised that it was a shiny once the battle started. Definitely one of the most underwhelming shinies, but I feel a little more content now knowing it's one of the more rare ones.

When I saw Sinistea in #1 I felt immediate pain, not because I’ve hunted an authentic, but hunting a Sinistea in general in this game is so harsh because of how tiny it is, and during night the Sinistea spawns are almost entirely taken over by Banette, my Sinistea hunt took me nearly twice as long as Roaring Moon

I had an authentic shiny in SWSH… and I didn’t know. I didn’t even know there was such a thing at the time. I never cared for the Pokémon, and I got one in dynamax adventure during just normal playthrough, and I offered it to someone on discord. And they told me after it was authentic. But I thought he meant it wasn’t hacked. So I was just thinking “well, duh, I know. I caught it….” Just gave it away for nothing 😂 still hurts.

Tree spawns aren’t that bad in my opinion. If you head to Tagtree Thicket, you can just set up a cycle of running into trees, going to another tree that’s further away, and then going back. For Slakoth, if you find a group of trees, that would probably work. Using the method I mentioned earlier, I found two Applin in approximately 5 minutes.

One you might have overlooked is Dusk form Lycanroc, which requires an elusive Own Tempo Rockruff. I ended up giving up and going for eggs instead because Rockruff seeimgnly only spawns with Own Tempo sometimes, and only while the game is in the sunset time which is about a 90 second window it seems like. I thought this might be easy enough, I'd save right before sunset and make a sandwich and search in short increments but the game doesn't seem to keep the time of day when you save so every time I would reload it would be at a random point in the day and I'd have to wait up to 30 minutes to get it back to the time of sunset. Ran into 4 or 5 shiny Rockruff this way, but not a single with Own Tempo since that seems to be a pretty rare spawn.

Yeah I think I might to an update video and dive into the Rockruff. TBH I just didn’t know that Own Tempo was something that you couldn’t use an ability patch for because I thought it was a Hidden Ability! The comments here have taught me something new (which is always cool)!

@@ProfessorRex Matter of fact, if you look at an Own Tempo Rockruff's summary, it doesn't have a Pokedex number. In terms of coding, the game considers it a different mon, the same way that the Johtonian Wooper and Galarian Meowth don't have Pokedex numbers.

It's easier to get white form Floette in the wild because all the Floette in Area Zero are white for some reason. So you could just run around there and eventually find one if you're lucky. (Unfortunately encounter power fairy--in Scarlet at least--makes all the spawns Scream Tails and doesn't really help)

So, in my first-ever run, I had saved in front of a (non-shiny) Tropius, in case it knew Whirlwind (it did), so that I could keep trying until I got it. When I restarted, the Tropius was gone. Does the restarting only work with Shiny Pokemon?

To help with Slakoth, or trying to find any outbreak mon, use at least a level 2 encounter power sandwich that matches the type of the Pokemon you're after. Then be sure to be at a location in which the Pokemon spawns. While the sandwich is active and at a spawn location, simply keep date skipping by GOING BACKWARDS 1 MINUTE at a time. You should get your targeted mon after a bit.

When I first started doing 5 star terra raid battles I somehow stumbled my way into finding a shiny Dondozo. Thankfully Gamefreak was nice enough to lock in a pokemon's shiny status even if you lose the raid battle, which I did... a lot. Thankfully I had my friends with me and after 4 hours of attempts because we were very underleveled and didn't have a lot of answers to it's typing, all three of us got a shiny ghost terra type Dondozo! Definitely one of my favorite pokemon experiences I've had, now I just gotta find a shiny tatsugiri to go with it.

I have about 3 days worth of play time, and I have 4 shinies. The first was an Indeedee that was kinda just hanging out by the pokemon center. Literally 3 feet away from me. The second was an almighty Wooper. Was EV training in the area and came across him, what a little dude. Now I have a purple Clodsire named Tofu. The other two are both paradox forms, I got them in one night while playing with a friend. We couldn't see each other of course, but we had to communicate our locations so that we could get exclusive spawns for each other. I had just finished the base game and so we went into Area Zero to explore, and so that I could snag some of the future mons, since we had different versions, I had scarlet. I was waiting for them to 'arrive' at station no.1, when I went around the back and found a shiny Slither Wing. Afterwards, we went down into that one cave with dark sandwich power and oh my god i still get shivers thinking about that Roaring Moon. I spotted it while gliding a split second before they did and engaged it in a battle. Got it down to critical hp, and after a lot of ultra balls, i caved and used the master ball on it. So now i have a Roaring Moon in a master ball. In terms of being hard to capture, out of all the ones on the list, this might be one of the hardest. The others are rarer/harder to find, but may not be as difficult to actually catch. I named the Slither Wing 'Apollo' and the Roaring Moon 'Hyperion'. Seemed fitting. But now Ive vowed to help my Violet playing friend get one. I _did_ kinda steal it from them.

Great video! I’ve been doing some rare Shiny hunts where I can, they’re a lot of fun! Of the list, I have: Roaring Moon (absolute nightmare) Wild Blue Florges Zorua and Zoroark (caught both since they both have such good shinies) But the worst wild Shiny hunt by far I’ve done wasn’t on the list, it was Igglybuff! The fact it’s so tiny and has no difference and its outbreaks are so rare made it an absolute nightmare to hunt, but Jigglypuff is my favorite Pokémon so it was worth it!

I stumbled upon a shiny authentic Sinistea when hopping over to an outbreak of them to use the remaining time on my Ghost encounter/sparkling sandwich after a successful Litwick shiny hunt (was testing out the shiny charm after just completing my pokedex).

I have the droopy and stretchy shinies for Tatsugiri. The stretchy one has a mark too! My method was go to the island with a Dragonite, make a dragon power sandwich, and loop around the island. I actually did find the curly form but it used Memento and I didn’t save before encountering, so I have yet to capture that one.
