I saw this FB post that said the Center of the Universe is in Oklahoma! My oldest sister's friend said that he'd been there and it's really Cool! My oldest daughter wants to go visit in the Non-Tornado season. I asked her if there is a Non-Tornado season in Oklahoma these days?? Here in Utah we get around 3 annually. And most of those will be just pushing the lawn chairs over.

The only thing I will mention is that oily hands make spice grinders harder to use, if I’m making say meatballs or the like I try to remember to grind salt and pepper first, but then I am wheelchair mobile so back and forth to the sink is inconvenient.

@@sherrit1964 It's from the first cookbook I got, back in high school- "The New Basics Cookbook" Here's the recipe if you want to try it. If you do, and you really like lemon, I always added a bit of lemon extract to the syrup you drizzle on top, to give it a tart boost! 3 tablespoons milk 3 large eggs 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups sifted cake flour 3/4 cup sugar, preferably superfine 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/3 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest 3 tablespoons poppy seeds 13 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened Lemon Syrup: 1/4 cup & 2 tablespoons sugar 1/4 cup freshly lemon juice In a medium bowl lightly combine the milk, eggs and vanilla. In a large mixing bowl, preferably with the whisk beater, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, lemon zest and poppy seeds. Mix on low speed for 30 seconds to blend. Add the butter and half the egg mixture. Mix on low speed until the dry ingredients are moistened. Increase to medium speed (high speed if using a hand held mixer) and beat for 1 minute to aerate and develop the cake's structure. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Gradually add the remaining egg mixture in 2 batches, beating for 20 seconds after each addition to incorporate the ingredients and strengthen the structure. Scrape down the sides. Scrape the batter into a 8-inch by 4-inch loaf pan, greased and lined with wax paper and smooth the surface with a spatula. The batter will be almost a 1/2 inch from the top of the 4-cup loaf pan. Bake 55-65 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out completely clean. Cover loosely with buttered foil after 30 minutes to prevent over browning. The cake should start to shrink from the sides of the pan only after removal from the oven. To get an attractive split down the middle of the crust, wait until the natural split is about to develop (about 20 minutes) and then with a lightly greased sharp knife or single-edged razor blade make a shallow mark about 6 inches long down the middle of the cake. This must be done quickly so that the oven door does not remain open very long or the cake will fall. When the cake splits, it will open along the mark. Shortly before the cake is done, prepare the Lemon Syrup: In a small pan over medium heat, stir the sugar and lemon juice until dissolved. As soon as the cake comes out of the oven, place the pan on a rack, poke the cake all over with a wire tester and brush it with 1/2 the syrup. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Loosen the sides with a spatula and invert onto a greased wire rack. Poke the bottom of the cake with the wire tester, brush it with some syrup and reinvert onto a greased wire rack. Brush the sides with the remaining syrup and allow it to cool before wrapping airtight. Store 24 hours before eating to give the syrup a chance to distribute evenly. Slice with a thin sharp knife into thin slices.

I grew up on my mom's pound cake and never got tired of eating it. I hope you will do a video with the pound cake. You are gonna love it. Recky, Timex has been around for ages. Recky, I think you might have your directions confused a little bit. California is on the West Coast and New York is on the East Cost. The way i was taught to remember was with a pneumonic device. Think of a compass like the face of a clock North is on top at the 12, East is at 3, South is at 6 and West is at nine. So by going clockwise, the abbreviations would be N E S W. Remember one goofy sentence and you'll have it down Never Eat Soggy Wheaties (or Waffles, the saying varies).

One way to remember is that most maps show north at the top, and, as they taught us, "west is to your left, when facing north" . The almost-rhyme of west to left is a nemonic, to help you remember.
