Beautiful! I saw a documentary on the building of the great wall of china,and its not only build with cement there are dead man bones in the walls! Many passed away while building it so in honor of the fallen they became apart of the wall,very interesting stuff! Thank for sharing your awesome!

Next time you should visit Simatai Part of Great wall It is the best, and some part of the that section of great wall is a little bit dangerous. It is 70 degree vertical, and both sides are cliff.

What about the crowd..? I would like to go to a section where there's less ppl. Thanks in advance for the advise..

Can you imagine in the days of old. You as a soldier guarding the wall/towers when the great wall was new. I'm sure there are countless numbers of store to be told that is lost to time. Now mother nature has come back to reclaim what has been taken from her in the old sections.

Nice views of the Great Wall. Went to Beijing last year but can no longer get around as much as on earlier trips. Strange timing on my previous trips. The first one was a few weeks prior to the Tienanmen Square massacre. My next trip was during 9-11.

I know this is one of your golden oldies but still a very good piece of video in 1080. If you ever revisit this area, the wall section off the end of Mutianyu called Jiankou is truly magnificent but very dangerous unless you are a mountain goat. I have found a reasonable amount of footage but its amateur stuff that often looks awful. There is some good drone footage of Jiankou but most of what you see is trekkers who do not produce decent video.

Very impressive with high quality video and smoothing music. What is your opinion of scenery of hiking from Mutianyu section and Jinshanling to Simatai section?What your said about Huangyaguan Pass section and Huanghuacheng section?
@milosh9k7 жыл бұрын
+Sok Gek Tan I enjoyed both section ( within couple of years difference), cannot say I liked one more than other. I read that further in Simatai there are some very impressive but dangerous parts, but didn't go there, they are closed and probably forbidden too

Great High Quality Video. Did you walk entire trip or take tram? How long did it take to walk from Tower 23 to Tower 1?
@milosh9k8 жыл бұрын
+halfdohm I walked the entire trip and I also did couple of unrepared tiwers on both sudes. Do not remember how long exactly, maybe three hours, but could be wrong, also I was walking very fast to be able to do as much as possible, I think everybody else in the group did less
@milosh9k8 жыл бұрын
+halfdohm maybe we took the tram on the way up to the wall, two years later I did trip to another section (video from there also in the channel). Need to take a look at my pictures, and maps from that time, but I am on a trip right now

What would you say the distance is between the towers? I want to do 6-23, but may not have enough time
@milosh9k8 жыл бұрын
It took me 3 and half hours to do all towers in the repaired section (1-23) and couple on each side in the unrepaired part, but that was in a lot of a hurry

two hours away, probably the most popular location to see not too touristy part of the wall. I have another video from another part of the wall that is 2.5-3 hours away.
