Great Weapons Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen

Torpor from Rusted weapons and Freeze from Ice weapons and Silence from Golden weapons are all great.
Caged Fury Archstaff is awesome.
Forced Hatchet is also awesome but very awesome for Assassin.
Iraklis can carry you through the entire game as Warrior.
The 3 elemental swords for Mystic Knight are essential. You only need Fire, Ice and Lightning. The Swords are easier to get, and easier to upgrade compared to Maces and also the Swords can be shared among Assassin, Fighter and Mystic Knight while the Maces are exclusive to Mystic Knight.

I really hope they add some sort of quick switching for weapons in DD2, having to go into the menu every single time for different enemies is pretty frustrating.

It also doesn't help that the menus are sluggish and unresponsive and butt ugly and every item shares a menu icon with at least one other item.

I played DDDA so much, yet i never got a vast majority of lvl3 BB weapons. I'd rather start a new run with a new character than farm. Gonna try and at least get Diabolical Shield this time. I got Devilsbane and Sanguine Stalk on this run, which i never got before, so this may be the one

For Magic Archer, the magic bow (bought from the Black Cat merchant; I forget the name offhand) that provides health regen is good. There are much better magic bows, but I always keep it as a backup for the free health regen after a fight. If I recall, it also fairly easy to upgrade since you only need three golden eggs (get eggs from nests, wait until they turn gold).

Yes, but you also need to stand completely still for the heal effect to start. It does heal all health and not just the white bar, so its still pretty good

i played as a warrior first, and daimon took like almost 10 mins (final form) and when i swapped to strider and i killed him in like 45 seconds. I was very dissapointed with how OP strider was and how shit warrior is against daimon 😂😂

I need to disagree with the preference of Eden's Warden over Dying Light or even Font of Fire. Elemental weapons are already at a disadvantage when overcoming enemy Defence. Warden is a very early game weapon, Pre-Wyrm Hunt stats. Dying Light is the second strongest sword in a pecking order overall (BB2 weapon), not to mention Holy being so dominant element in Bitterblack. Font of Fire appears much later in the game, better stats. For Ice Mystic Knight, Magebreaker is also a BB2 weapon and inflicts Lowered Magic, but that is much less significant.

Yeah, typically immolation is physical. But scencion and sunflare is magic. 2 to 1 outnumbered. And then, immolation does better with magic if the enemy is weak to fire

For MK, do the elemental weapons really scale that well compared to VoM? I have a gold VoM as well as gold Almace, and it just seems like such a downgrade overall. Do the elemental weaknesses make that much of a difference?

It can be. Some enemies get a 200% boost to sn element. Some, 500%

With Iraklis, can the damage boost proc when using Arc attacks?

It can, but the multiplier may be nerfed. When it does not proc it's only 10% less rather than 90% so the proc positive is usually 10% bonus instead of 10 times. At least from when I tested it. Though the Iraklis does proc easier when using a skill compared to a core attack

I'd say Holy is a better fire since skeletons and very importantly wraiths are weak to Holy NOT to fire, also the equivalent weapons are mostly stronger.

i recently played monster hunter world iceborn and a little sunbreak, and honestly dragons dogma 2 should take a few tips from them. it kind of does, in a sense but not entirely. like give greatsword more charge strike, and block pleeeeease give it a block capcom.

I’m not sick of it but it is hard for me to play DDDA when I know DD2 exist. I’ve said this before but if DD2 is just DDDA but 100% of the og content they had planned made with modern tech, DD2 will be my favorite game of all time.
