Narrow Gauge Railways of the Great Western Railway
What do you think of when you think of the Great Western Railway; Seaside holidays to the South West, Idyllic branch lines, Castles & Kings, Brunel's Broad Gauge. What about Narrow Gauge?
When the GWR absurd the Cambrian Railways in 1922, they took over two Welsh Narrow Gauge Railways; The Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway and Vale of Rheidol Railway. In 1929 they purchased the Corris Railway.
We take a look at the preserved Welshpool & Llanfair, Vale of Rheidol and Corris Railways and Locomotives, including the two former Corris locomotives which now reside on the Talyllyn Railway.
