Great Yarmouth Drive Through.

Hi.
Thought I would do a drive through of Yarmouth. We start and finish at Seashore Holiday Park.
We go past the Britannia Pier down the Esplanade to the Pleasure Beach. At this point we do a U turn, come back up and follow the road past pub on the prom turning left.
We then go past Sainsburys and turn left heading into town. We go through the underpass with the Market Gates bus station on the right. Immediately opposite that on the left is Iceland followed by The Troll Cart Wetherspoons pub.
Next we take a right at the traffic lights following Alexandra Road crossing over King Street and down Great Yarmouth Road to the Quayside. We turn right, follow then hang a left and go over the Haven Bridge following the road past the Tesco's roundabout to the Gapton Hall Roundabout.
We then turn right there onto the A47 and follow it to the Vauxhall roundabout by Asda. Taking a right there we follow the road down with Asda and the train station on the right coming to Fullers Hill Roundabout.
We take a left onto Lawn Avenue onto Caister road and go straight for roughly half a mile. We come to the traffic lights just past the petrol station the turn right on to Jellicoe Road.
We follow this past Great Yarmouth Racecourse straight on at the roundabout, over the bridge until we come to the end of the road. We then turn left onto North Drive and are back at Seashore where we started.

I got strong connections to Gt. Yarmouth, sadly mostly passed now and cousins all moved out of the locality, there is soooo much more to see, but wow has it changed since I was a knee high kid! Who remembers the railway along the South Quay, the smell of the Wood Yards along the river and Southtown Station? Many a happy summer spent there as a child and could happily move there now - but its not like it was, so just memories!

Love Great Yarmouth holidaying there since I was a child my Grandparents/Mom are in Gorleston crem now so come 3 times a year

Brought back so many memories,used to live there almost 20 years ago. Would move back in a heartbeat if I had the money to do so😀

The cost of living here compared to most other places is quite reasonable. Have you actually looked into it..? In the meantime, hotels are cheap and a short break might be a good replacement for now :-)

Just found your video and was good to watch, about ten years since last stayed in Gt. Yarmouth but had lots of holidays in Norfolk since young age with my parents, hopefully won't be too long before getting there again.

Great to see some serious money being spent in GY. - Venetian Waterways fixed up. - New Marina Centre - Winter Gardens now has funding for its restoration.

Yes, sorry this post is late :-). Things are changing here for the good in many areas. The New Marina Centre has come on massively since I was last down the seafront. I suspect not long now until it is finished.

Yarmouth Really does come alive at times. Soon the pandemic will be over so why not come and pay a visit :-)
