I 10/10 approve of the Indian bagpipe band. This is an example of using another culture and blending it with your own in a positive way, and I hope we see more of this. Although I know cultural appropriation is a big subject at the moment, we have to realize that in some instances it’s not always bad. So if you see a flip of this (like a Presbyterian church using Hindu music and dress to teach universal love) don’t flip out.

It's cool they play the bag pipes but why dress like that? I'm mean its Scottish heritage, that would be like me dressing up like a native America And playing a war drum, or dressing Chinese and playing gong, almost offensive. Like I said I love the music but it's like they wear the garb for the shock value.

It would be more shocking to wear Indian traditional garb when marching in a parade and playing bagpipes. Although I would dig it, just like I really like that they do what they are doing now. Mad props to all of them and their temple for openly embracing other cultures. They aren't doing it in disrespect, so it isn't appropriation. There is room for everyone, and the cows too, in the world of music.
