As I understand it , when USS LEXINGTON was abandoned , they saved the ships DOG as well as ALL THE SHIPS ICE CREAM !

Ii find it Ironic that when Japanese Troops had some "time off" many chose to play American baseball. Japan's fascination with the sport going back further than I thought.

And Americans played chess, which originated in India, China, and Japan.
