Having Rubio come off the bench to cover on defense and create easy shots for the starters when they're getting tired would be an awesome use of his strengths, and he's had enough experience working with young teams that he could help lead the bench unit as well.

To dismiss it as flashy would undermine his craftiness, uncanny instincts, basketball IQ, and gamesmanship. In his prime, this dude was a serious MVP candidate against some of the best to ever play.

Jason Kidd was really good. I was fan of New Jersey Net. Team was so fast, fast transition was amazing. No big guy grab the rebound everybody run. Im Glad he got the ring before retired.

Kidd is a way more skilled and talented player, to be honest (and i'm spanish), but Ricky excels at passing, he doesn't need any flashy moves to be one of the best team mates than you can have. Better passer but worse overall player than Kidd at this time, we will see in the future, he is still growing!

And hey its a matter of opinion at the end of the day but just as an FYI kidd with his range of passing ability led the nets to an nba final with a team that had no real star player alongside him. Also statistically speaking kidd is an all time assists leader second only to Stockton. Basically those are two major reasons I rate him higher than rubio ... both as a player overall and passer but like i said everyone has their own opinion on who's the better passer.
