A stalemate occurs when all players are unable to complete any of the following actions: Generate income Produce a unit Construct a building (excluding Creep Tumor, Auto-Turret & Point Defense Drone) Research an upgrade Destroy an enemy building so if zerg can mine, hes fine.

I love how Jeff is talking about draw, when that is not the case at all. Zerg is mining. Funny thing: I have also faced this in ladder long time a go. This video hadn't even went live at that time. And I managed to win, because my Terran opponent started to write something like "other player has dropped the game", so that I would leave. I was not going to leave what so ever, but after that I knew he was flying somewhere with a CC ;D

@@zachcasper9216 It must meet all three draw conditions at the same time for the duration of the timer. If any of the conditions is not met, the timer resets. The zerg was both mining and producing units. Thus, the timer was not counting down.

+Pat Vee To be precise there are three draw conditions: no one is mining, nothing is being built and nothing is being killed/ destroyed in a set amount of time (three in game minutes). Due to how difficult it is to achieve these conditions it is not that strange to not know starcraft even has a draw since unless it is done on purpose (for example with an friend for lols). The only way to achieve this in a legit match is if both players lose all of their workers and armies or if neither one can reach the others buildings (it is located on a island or an terran building) and all workers are dead, it would also be a draw if workers were stuck on an outmined island and all armies are dead or can't reach.

The easiest way for the the zerg to have known to what was going on would be for him to click on the mineral patches and see that minerals had been mined.

By "he can't build air units fast enough" means he's looking at the replay timer, the one that's blocked off from our vision. It shows how long the replay is, and Jeff knew that Zerg wouldn't have air units.

This is basically trolling vs the classic 6-pool, and oddly, it often works simply because the average 6-pooler is simply not willing to spend the extra 5 minutes to tech to air to hunt you down.

He stopped mining and positioned 6 SCVs in order for the other player to think that he never started playing. You can notice how precisely he arranged them, like they never moved from their original start position. He should have typed GG after Smug left ... lol

If it had been me, I would have sent a ling to every patch of minerals that I could and the towers, and drone hard and tech to mutas. Then flown around all over the map, checking the bases blocked by rocks first. Zerg could have won this games for sure. He was just completely confused by what happened.

What made this credible is the fact that the workers were in position, so the victim thought: "Ok, I didn't win, but he wasn't minning, so he couldn't build anythig. This must be a bug". In HotS the workers would mine anyways, so the idea of "he didn't build anything" is missing now. And that's the core component of the cheese. Before was an AFK guy and a bug. Now is just a silent guy that is cheesing you.
