I fully believe that Cody Bellingers game 7 nlcs home run of 2020 is the second best, most iconic, and pivotal home run of dodgers history

I agree. Another one that I feel should be on this list is Cody's homerun in game 1 of the 2020 World Series. That one felt like it woke our offense up and gave us confidence the rest of the series.

Another one I just thought of, that I think gets forgotten in the mix, is Joc's homerun against Scherzer in game 5 of the 2016 NLDS. We were down 1-0 on the 7th and then Joc hit that homer to tie it and take Scherzer out of the game and we went on to score 3 more runs and won 4-3.

Man did I need this right now. I miss Dodger baseball like nothing else. For me, it's 1. Gibby 2. Bellinger's Game 7 go-ahead bomb 3. Yeager Bomb to finally best the Yankees 4. Scioscia's clutch homer against the Mets in the NLCS 5. Puig's NLCS Game 7 homer. I agree with some here that Kike's game 5 deserves more love. I also wanna give a shout out to Mickey Hatcher's homer off Dave Stewart in the Kirk Gibson game--a fun one that often gets overlooked and that turned out to be HUGE.

I'd just like to point out that 0:51 to 5:09 (4m18s) spans from 1963 to 2012 (49 years). Then 5:10 to 12:00 (6m50s) spans from 2013 to 2021 (8 years). While I acknowledge that home runs were less plentiful pre-90s and fans memories skew towards the recent, I still have to say that we Dodgers fans have been very, very, very blessed these past 9 seasons. Enjoy it while it's here.

This video should be called 12 minutes of goose bumps. Good Lord Dodgers Nation! I was there for a couple of those. The Alex Cora one was cool, but the loudest I've ever heard Dodger stadium was JTs walk-off vs the Cubs in 2017. I couldn't hear myself think. I was with my son (8-years old at the time). Everyone is losing their minds, I'm jumping up and down hugging and high fiving complete strangers. I hug my son and he says "Did we win?" Priceless moment.

We definitely need a part 2. What about Gibson's go-ahead dinger in game 4 of the 88 WS at Shea Stadium and followed the next game with another dinger. Also, what about Shawn Green's iconic game in Milwakee where he hit 4 homeruns. Mr. Ross Porter called that game. Just saying.

So glad you had Sciodcia's HR, that one gets overshadowed because of Gibson's legendary one in 88. 9th inning, 2 out, they would have gone down 3-1 in the series. Speaking of Gibson, his blast off McDowell in the 12th (I think? can't remember) for the win was awesome as well.

Udder depression is what I was going through watching game one in the bottom of the ninth during the 88 World Series. To make matters worse, I was in an Oakland bar and everyone was slamming the Dodgers. Here comes Gibson to the plate barely able to walk. He must have summoned something otherworldly to even get there. No chance I thought. What is LaSorda doing? Bottom of the ninth, 2 out and a 3 and 2 count. No way right? Next pitch "High fly ball into deep right field ... and she is gone! " -- Vin Scully. I was so excited I think I blacked out on my feet. I was screaming so loud I thought I was going to get beaten to a pulp by the Oakland fans. That will always be the most tremendous homerun in Dodgers history. All the others pale in comparison.

I agree with others that Ki-ke Hernandez' 3 HR game against the Cubs in the 2017 NLCS deserves to be part of this mix. This was obviously a list of more recent home runs, not the entire history of the Dodgers. Only Frank Howard's home run in 1963 goes back before the 1980's. But Johnny Roseboro's 3-run home run in game 1 of the 1963 Series was just as important. It gave the Dodgers a 4-0 lead to back Sandy Koufax' 15 strikeout record performance and got the Dodgers off to their sweep of the Yankees. And the Dodgers might not have gotten to the World Series if not for Dick Nen's game tying home run off Ron Taylor in the top of the 9th against the second place Cardinals. The Dodger led the Cardinals by only 1 game going into a three game series in St. Louis, memories of their collapse in '62 still fresh in their minds. They took the first two games of the series, but if the Cardinals had won the finale, the Dodger lead would have been only 2 games with 9 to play. Instead, when the Dodgers won the game in the 13th, their lead over the Cardinals was 4 games and their magic number was 5, not 7. The Dodgers won five of their last 9 games, and there was nothing the Cardinals could do to overtake the Dodgers. To make Nen's home run even more remarkable, it was in his first major league game. He only played in 7 games for the Dodgers with 8 at bats and that was his only Dodger hit. He went back to the minors in 1964 and then the Dodgers included him in the trade with Washington that brought Claude Osteen to the Dodgers. Another memorable home run was Lou Johnson's drive off the foul pole in Game 7 of the 1965 World Series. It broke a scoreless tie and backed Koufax' 2-0 win. Another memorable home run was Charlie Neal's 2 home runs in Game 2 of the 1959 World Series, the one that also saw White Sox left fielder Al Smith doused with a fan's beer. The Dodgers had been shutout for 13 straight innings and were losing 2-0 inn Game 2. Neal hit two homers that day. The first one broke the ice. The second one gave the Dodgers their first lead in a game and they went on to win the Series, 4 games to 2. And I would add Duke Snider's two home runs in Game 5 of the 1955 World Series, helping the Dodgers win, 5-3, and making him the only player to hit 4 home runs in a World Series twice. And I would add the game when Gil Hodges hit 4 home runs in a game against the Boston Braves on August 31, 1950, plus a single, driving in 9 runs. He hit a two-run homer off Warren Spahn in the second inning, a three-run home run off Normie Roy in the third, a two-run homer off Bob Hall in the sixth, and a two-run homer off Johnny Antonelli in the eighth.

Scoiscia's is #2 when you consider the full context. 1. This was a era when HR's were much harder to come by. The Dodgers had 2 players with 20+ HR's that year (Mike Marshall 20, Kirk Gibson 25). You can hear the announcer say Scoiscia had "35 homeruns in 8 and 1/2 years in the major leagues". That season, 1988, he had hit 3. 2. Dodgers are playing the Mets for the NL pennant. In 11 games against the Mets in the regular season, the Dodgers are 1-10, so naturally they're huge underdogs going in. At this point in the series they're down 2 games to 1, in serious jeopardy of falling behind 3-1. 3, Game 4, ninth inning, Dodgers down 4-2 against one of the best pitchers of the day, Doc Gooden. Dodgers centerfielder, John "T-bone" Shelby works a walk. Scoiscia comes up next and drills the first pitch into the rightfield bullpen to tie the game 4--4 and revive the Dodgers hopes. Kirk Gibson hits a go ahead HR in the 12th inning to give the Dodgers a 5-4 lead. The Mets load the bases in the bottom of the 12th. The Dodgers have to bring in their last available pitcher, ace Orel Hershiser, who had pitched 7 innings the day before, to save the game. He gives up a soft blooper to center field. The aformentioned John Shelby makes a great read on the ball and makes a nice running catch to secure the win for the Dodgers. 4. As others have said, without Scoiscia's HR, the Dodgers very likely don't get to the World Series that year and there is no Gibson homerun.

I remember being in Milwaukee for Turner’s game 2 bomb in 2018. Right behind the dugout, I felt like I was celebrating with the team and I remember feeling like it compared to the 2017 walk off

Gotta say for me it was the night Adrian Gonzalez hit 3 consecutive homeruns, don't remember the year or who they were playing (I must've been a child) but thats for sure a flashbulb memory for me

So many amazing ones over the years. The Finley walk off happened the same day I had oral surgery and couldn’t scream so I quiet yelled. Kikè’s 3 HR game. But since I was born in 1988, I can’t remember the Gibby one… So for me: 1) belli game 7, 2) Kike game 7, and 3) Finley walk off. Getting to watch that game 7 with my dad with all of the scariness in the world made everything feel right.

I forget what game it was it wasn’t more than 5 years ago, but there was a non playoff game where they hit 4 in a row to walk off, that’s gotta be my favorite.
