A few corrections: Mohammad Rafi Pakistan main nahin balki Indian Punjab ke Amritsar district ke Kotla Sultan Singh Village main paida hue they. Correct name is Gulzari lal not Girdhari lal Nanda. khuswant Singh Dada name was Sujjan Singh. His father's name was Sobha not Suba singh

When i was in class 10 , in 1978 I came across a small booklet of about 20 pages It was a English translation of the poetry Shikwa - Jawab e Shikwa by The great poet Allama Iqbal That was my first introduction and admiration phase for this learned man Sir Khushwanth Singh I was ammazed at his grasp of urdu and farsi being a Sikh, and his immaculate choice of English words used in translation such complicated urdu and farsi I. Remember he was the editor of a magazine called the illustrated weekly of India

Sardar Khushvant Singh's grandfather's name was Sardar Sujan Singh. Name of a colony on his name in Delhi is 'Sujan Singh Park'.

Fun fact - Khushwant Singh ji was the creator of Santa Banta jokes, that r still around. He used to make fun of Sikhs in his sketches. Once All India Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee wrote to him asking him to stop Santa Banta jokes as it leads to Sikhs being taken lightly or as funny men only and so on. He replied by telegram - "Go to hell". That's it, both parties never communicated on this subject again. His,non negotiable,8:00 pm goodbye is still famous in New delhi. For ex - a few friends who decide to have drinks and some one has to leave early. So that person says xyz time is the deadline for me - Khushwant Singh dead line (implying : no scope for another round or further discussion)
