Alabama fan here. Honestly, I can separate the game and look at it from y’all’s side and say “well, it was a hell of a game no matter how you look at it”. We’ve been on the wrong side of a few of those (2022 Tennessee comes to mind, the 2013 Iron Bowl as well). Thankfully there’s more good than bad. Michigan was a very deserving winner and you guys waited for this moment for a long time, so I couldn’t be too upset. Have never had a problem with Michigan, and the few fans I’ve interacted with have been nothing but respectful. Hats off to ‘ya, and hopefully our new coaches will get a chance to duke it out in the playoffs sooner rather than later!

WOWOWOW - thank you for posting this - really preserves the atmosphere of being there, but surely nothing like being there in person (lucky you). The Rose Bowl & Rose Parade are magnificent events, great way to bring in the New Year especially with 2 titanic football programs and fan base - from 4:00 to 8:00 what a beautiful setting with sunset and mountains in the background. Can't think of a better end-zone seat with views of the San Gabriel Mountains. College football & ESPN powers need to keep the Rose Bowl 2 PM starting time. Looked like 60 / 40 (Michigan / Alabama fans) in the stadium. Only wish you could have got videos of Alabama punter - seeing his sky high punts.

You're exactly right - start of game under blue skies, mid-way with the golden sun setting on the San Gabriel Mountains, and the finishing under a dark sky with a glowing green field - fantastic setting. The Rose Bowl is one venue where sitting in a high row in the visiting team end-zone is a bonus where you can truly absorb the sights and sounds of this terrific event.

I think the 4 PAC12 schools joining the B!G will be really beneficial to their football cultures. Can't wait to see them come visit the Big House sold out, or the shoes, or happy valley, or Camp Randal. Outside of Oregon and maybe Washington, there just isn't even close to the same atmosphere in their stadiums yet. I think that changes for the better once they all get settled into the B1G. Looking forward to seeing more sold out games in the regular season at the Rose Bowl.
