I agree with the comment below, that Gordon Hayward’s shot WOULD HAVE been the greatest, but my top 3 are NC State, Nova, and Valpo. I’d probably put Valpo’s Bryce Drew at the very top. It was the first true March Madness buzzer beater that I remember having a special impact for a truly little known underdog school, which for me is what March Madness is all about.

If you want evidence that NCAA refs are terrible, look at some of these buzzer beaters that clearly got off in time, yet the refs try to stop everyone from celebrating because they want to take a look at. 3:38 Hint: if the buzzer goes off while the ball is already in the air, the basket is obviously good.
