@@aceundead4750 Thing is my guess is Ashiok found Tezzeret and they are working together. As Tezzeret has the planar bridge built into himself and Vorinclex shows the ability to shift into the mycosynth lattice that he took to Kaldheim this suggested to me that the New Phyrexians could likely pass through while shaped as Mycosynth avoiding the whole living matter thing as Mycosynth isn't truly living considering its a bunch of mutated metal and Phyrexian oil. Ashiok of course would only do this because of the fear and nightmares it would generate

Can you do a video discussing the 10 realms of Kaldheim and how the color pairs they represent play into how their culture and history is designed? It’s a topic I’m very much interested in regarding this plane as it’s the first major plane with a similar thematic structure to Ravnica we’ve gotten. 10 realms each symbolizing one of the 10, 2-Color pairs in Magic. Just like Ravnica’s 10 Guilds of similar themes.

Toski is based on Ratatoskr, a squirrel that runs up and down Yggdrasil as a messanger between the eagle living in the top branches, and Niddhoggr living at the roots. He basically exists only to further the insult hurling between the two other creatures.
@jamesehlenfeldt71324 жыл бұрын
Ok crazy theory time: the cosmos monsters are said to be born from the world tree. Created within the blind eternity. What if squirrel, wolf and space snake cosmo creatures are the leaves of the world tree. While the spaghetti monsters we know and love are the cosmo monsters of the roots? Being the roots of a world tree powering ten realms would probably make me awfully mana hungry, that and the majority of eldrazi look like giant tree roots. We already know Emerakal sees herself as an angel in Jace's mind. Perhaps she's the root to the branch of the valkarie relm? Maybe also why she had such a powerful influence on the Angels of inistrad? Kosilek's brood are usally the biggest and rep red and blue mana, we just so happen to have a plane of red and blue mana aligned giants. We even have a underwater giant in kaldhiem which represented as an eldrazi on zendikar could possibly be mistaken as a sea monster; worshipped as gods by the merfolk? Lastly ulamog, which honestly I have trouble finding a comparison as there doesn't seem to be vapmires or null equivalents on kaldhiem. Perhaps he's the root to the human or elf realms? Who knows? Just my thoughts.

The Wolf is def based on Fenris. The serpent is the World Serpent (can’t spell the name). The squirrel is def the squirrel that in Norse mythology ran along the tree from top to bottom causing the Nidhogg and the eagle on top of the tree to continue to fight and try and destroy each other. That probably means if we get more Cosmos Monsters we’ll probably see something like an Eagle, a Dragon or even a creature like Sleipnir

Wouldn’t planeswalking be another method of traversing the world tree it seems in the second chapter of kaldhiem showed tyvar kell using something similar to planeswalking to help kaya escape the giants he claimed it was a natural way his people (the elves of skemfar) traversed the world tree and yet he seemed to carry an artifact similar to a hedron from zendikar or is it just too early to count this seeing as ww know nothing about tyvar and the elves of skemfar?
@kakerlake44684 жыл бұрын
I feel like that Tyvar knew how to travel between realms before but with his planeswalker capacity it was way more easier, but planeswalker from other plane have more difficulties to do this because they didn’t learn how to travel between realms
@rubensmits25114 жыл бұрын
It was an actual hedron from zendikar that Tyvar took from there during his first planeswalking journey. It's how Kaya identifies Tyvar as a planeswalker. It's unrelated to his ability to traverse the kaldheim cosmos. (Which is different than the blind eternities which is what you travel through when planeswalking). He also carries a runestone that he uses for his transmuting magic but neither of these artifacts were used to cosmos travel. In the chapter that Tyvar and Kaya travel to immersturm Kaya in order to chase Tibalt, Kaya observes Tyvar using a kind of magic that is similiar to the Magic that the god Alrund(MTG's Odin) used to travel between realms. On Kaldheim the Elves where actually the first gods (Called the Einir) but they were defeated by the current pantheon of gods on Kaldheim, the Skoti(These are the Norse-inspired gods). My guess is that the current elves of Skemfar are descendants of the First Einir gods (or they are literally the original gods, we don't know if kaldheim elves are immortal). Thus it stands to reason that the elves retained some of their godlike power and have the ability to travel through the cosmos with their own magic just like the Skoti do.
