For instance, how can Sade Adu; who was only a singer and virtually a one-hit wonder at that and ceased preforming not long after her hit, be worth more than than Freddie Mercury who had many mega hits, performed all over the world and wrote many of Queen’s hits. Majority of those faces had wealth from the music industry when album sales of vinyl, cassette and CD was it. The digital, streaming, apple ipod age of internet downloads killed the earning potential. Now its just singles for pennies. And as the gentleman below me mentioned, the wealth was oft from other investments.
