it was old glitch. if you jump offstage, hold neutral b, and then buffer some move after death you cancel your respawn animation with that move.

90% sure they patched it out, but if you died while choosing an art it would bypass the respawn platform.

Basically you use dial storage right as you die and then buffer a special. A special will be buffered the exact frame you respawn. It is infinitely harder to do with other characters than Shulk, but you really got to be frame-perfect (ex. dying the exact frame that lag ends active with Samus's charge shot). Not sure if Shulk's method is patched out.
