You may believe that if you don’t fight against your negative thoughts, those thoughts will become a reality. Yet, as long as you hold onto this false belief, you will not be able to experience the state of comfort. You will only be able to be in a moment of conditional comfort. I'm sure you already know this. Temporarily your anxiety may subside, but after a little while you will have more thoughts and become restless. @Jane White - depression.. there is no reason why someone will start feeling depressed (maybe in her case, deep down she wasn’t happy with her life direction or maybe she had no aim or did not know how to deal with it).. depression has no reason .. there is this famous Indian actress Deepika padukone (you must have seen her pics in Lily’s insta), her first movie became a super hit and after that she went into depression! Everyone was like how can someone go into depression when they just got so much success but it happens. May years later this actress started raising awareness on depression and saying maybe it was the limelight or no, she wasn’t sure but she did not want to wake up, meet anyone, talk to anyone which was a struggle and just be on her own.. so it is quite difficult for anyone to answer what exactly she was going through and why (as most of them don’t know the reason)

i think we millenials are struggling with such new isues and changes that it's very hard for the previous generations to understand. but then we get together in a group of millenials and because we're seeking support and positivity so badly, we will coddle each other. we have to become more honest with ourselves and others and also appreciate that honesty. appreciate the bravery of a friend who stands up to you and says "hey, get out of that pity party, it's your life and your responsibility." - because as dumbledore said 'It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends.'

I graduated as a Valedictorian in High School and with Latin honors in college. Got my license and had my first corporate job. During my internship and when I got a job job, it's the same I'd end up hitting my head over and over in the restroom almost everyday out of frustration bc I wasn't happy. I'd also find myself wanting to vomit at times and had panic attacks. I was good at my job, my superior liked my performance but I just feel like it's killing me inside. I quit and now I'm unemployed for months. I feel stuck. I don't want a corporate job but I don't have the qualifications for other jobs either. At an early age, people always had big expectations so I'd do anything just to please them even if I'm not happy but now I'm just VERY tired. I've always centered my decisions based on what people would want me to do that now I feel so lost. I know what I don't want but I don't know what I want. Can't help to compare myself to others bc their lives are getting better but mine feels like it's going down. I feel so lost, stagnant and hopeless. 😭 Hopefully like Lilly, I'd find something that I can be really happy doing and be in a place where I'd want to show up everyday.

Embarrassing to admit, I have never heard of her. 😲 Advice, we ALL can learn from, at 3:00, she says, "I had to pay my dues and get better at it" 🔥🔥🔥 96.1% of society give up WAY too soon to every have a chance at success. Be the 3.9% and PERSIST!!!

Thank you for talking with the Millenials letting them know that they need to take accountability for things. Thank you for talking indirectly with Gen X about what Millenials go through, because it really is a lot. This is coming from a Xennial. I'm in between just understanding myself at the mature age of 37. The self doubt needs to do and so does the arrogance. They are both petulant with the very poison that will destroy the person who seeks to use it. There is no gain or admiration there. Instead allow yourself to face your doubts (as you said) so that you can literally become confident (the enemy of the arrogant) and moving forward becomes easier. No, life will always have its challenges, but you can use your true confidence and life lessons to get through what you face each step of the way. I hope anyone who reads this gains something from me. Thank you for making this amazing video! Blessings

*PREACH IT LILLY. This Summer has been really stressful and crazy for me, getting my pilot license, not going to my dream school, crying at my first world problems blah blah. But I love youtube, and I love flying and helping people so I'm excited for the future, but depression and anxiety is so true and such a big conflict. But I'm overcoming it and I know I'm stronger after this Summer* :) EDIT: everything she's said resonates with other successful people, the passion and surrounding with good people etc

I just realised why people want to fit in, in high school, it’s because we are in a class, being spoken from a teacher amongst 30 students like we are robots and that we follow rules and directions the same way and we learn the material all at the same speed, all at once. And... it’s not like that, we’re all different human beings that all learn differently, talk differently, are differently, so why should we be spoken to the same? Also I get it know why a lot of people in this generation are depressed, and it’s because we grow up with our phones, iPads, etc and we see all of these people with perfect noses, perfect homes, lots of money, plastic surgery, and we forget that we are special too. Because we constantly see these fake butts, fake boobs, all fake, for what...to be like everybody else? nahhh, that’s what makes you.... you, people like others because they’re different, because they’re not the same

I love her, she's such a wonderful inspiration! I totally agree that's okay to be your true self, things aren't going to always be perfect, and the routes to achieve your goals/aspirations won't always be conventional.

I have always been inspired by Lily. I wrote a essay about her for my english class in high school. It was about college not being neccessary for you to get a career and she is so amazing. This just proved my point. You literally can do anything if you put the time and effort and really dedicate yourself to it . Her story is so inspiring. Sometimes we feel a need to follow others not knowing our true potential and talent... Shes the true definition of making a dream come true.
