Naidu sir question states "Product in Descending order and Sales in Ascending order" but you only used descending in proc set so would it not make any difference in answering for sale region.

sorted both product and sales in desecending but in task they mentioned to sort sales in ascending order

this means that other by variable will by default sort in ascending, i thought both will sort in descending because we wrote descending.

Sir, why can't we use 2 by statements in proc sort. I tried using 2 by statements like this... Proc sort data = sortedshoes; By descending product; By sales; Run; I'm getting different outputs compared to using single by statement

You can’t write two by statements in one proc sort concept it’s a syntax error

In the question, the second variable sales needs to be in ascending order. Why did not specify that? Is there a mistake or am I missing smt?

If you don’t specify anything default sas will automatically take it as an ascending order we no need to specify ascending order
