If you can clock the BOV, and have it pointing upwards or towards the hood scoop, you'll hear it a lot more.

I know it's a year later but if you still have it set up like this, get rid of the hard pipe on the Intercooler and put a silicone hose going across with a t fitting on one side and a 90 degree fitting on the other side. And if you want loud go with a turbo xs rfl bov

I think you have to make it softer, with the nut on top

Did u buy a plug for your return hose that was connected to bottom of your recirculating valve that was previously installed
@badoasis35884 жыл бұрын
Kobe83647 yes I did on the website when you purchase the item the plug is at the bottom of the page for some reason they don’t sell it together.

I’ve been told I have to get a tune for it after you install parts like that which I will soon if I ever get time but I’ve installed it I think around the 10k mark and I currently have 25k now with no issues but trust I will get a tune soon

Why are you venting it and not recirculating it? Isn't this a bad idea for a MAF system? The computer is accounting for all that air coming into the system and then you turn around and vent it which is going to result in potentially running rich and causing issues.
@badoasis35884 жыл бұрын
Dustin Baxter there’s a lot debate but It’s stated that bov are there to reduce pressure in the intake so venting it back into the intake is a little confusing to me to begin with but As it’s been riding so far with this swap it hasn’t caused problems nor did my other car have any issues with installing a bov but I did notice that my car did pop and crackle a little bit more but I don’t think it’s running richer I just think it doesn’t have the air that it use to have to burn off the excess gas so I think it’s more of a trying to avoid more fumes and noise type of thing with state laws and what not.

@@badoasis3588 glad you haven't had any noticable issues, and I would hope never, especially with a car in this price range haha. I'd 100% recommend a tune for it though even though most of the companies will say it's not needed. My tuner out here in Utah at Simple Performance recommended against it just to be safe since the system is designed the be a closed loop, at least until you start getting into higher power and psi from what bit I've gathered. Getting a tune should help with what you're experiencing now since I'm sure there's something going on. Generally it'll run rich for a second and then drop to being lean because the ECU is trying to compensate for the difference that's happened with the air.

I actually just got the Turbosmart dual valve so I can plan ahead in a way. Plan on running it as recirculating for a while, but I'll see what the tuner thinks once I get my Garrett and need another tune since I'll be looking at 400 at the wheels on just 91.

Should have went with HKS bov if u need a loud whistle when release to atmosphere
@badoasis35884 жыл бұрын
Techh Tron honestly I was thinking of choosing the HKS BOV but I read that Greddy was a better brand but I had an HKS on my Mazda and it made a beautiful whistle noise.

Do you think is good blow off valve
@badoasis35883 жыл бұрын
After doing some extensive research I’ve come to find that there’s two different types of blow off valves and basically some for when you really pushing power and some to really sounds nice when I owend my HKS in my Mazda it had a beautiful wiffle sound to it if that even makes sense and I really loved it this blow the greddy one just releases all the air at the same time making a big whoosh sound but I think I might change it later on

Its not as loud as I expected it to be. I’ve owned HKS and they sound really nice but I couldn’t have it upwards because of those black tubes on the intercooler.
