Thank you for this video! I just replaced the main board on the same OEM Blueridge system after following your video. Took about 2 hours for me but I was being slow and careful. The Blueridge tech support was also really helpful. We had been getting LD and PL errors and the external fan was kicking off after a minute. I don’t think the compressor was ever coming on. Guess what… it all works now! Thanks again.

I have a 4 Zone Blureridge system, the board looks exactly the same, the renter hired a thech that diagnosed a bad main control board, I will follow this video to replace it myself, including cleaning the old heat sink and putting new heat sink compound. I'll post my results here. Thanks.

Great video. Love the music. Please help if u can. I just installed new Gree mini split. It will not power on. It’s getting 250 volts at inside unit. I believe it’s the communication wire. It’s reading 100 volts ac. There is no sign of power reaching inside unit. No light or anything. I think I fried board by crossing wires when I installed. It took me 6 weeks to buy all the tools and gain all the knowledge I needed to install it. It’s pressure tested, vacuum tested, and charged to capacity. Only reason I did work myself was I’m disabled and live on fixed income. Local hvac specialist wanted $600-1000 to come and just screw down flare fitting,test, and charge system with 4 ounces of r-410a. Please help.

check to see if your control wires may be broken i would ohm them out to make sure you have continuity between the wires cause you should still have power on the inside even if it doesn’t come on

@@engineeredcomforthvac4911 Thanks for reply. I only know enough about electrical work to take a voltage reading. There are 4 wires going from inside unit to outside unit. One is ground. One is hot and reading 123 volts, and another reading 123-125 volts. And. The communication wire. It’s reading 101 volts. I have heard that wire is suppose to be low voltage DC. It was reading .12-.38. DC. I don’t know if either of these numbers are off. I did some brazing near this wire. It got kind of hot, but it didn’t break jacket. The display on inside unit is not lit up or anything. Should I buy another wire and run it separately to see if works? Any advice or help is much appreciated I would hate to pay a professional more money for installing it or fixing it then I actually paid for it.

Hey great video! So is that true that each pigtail will have only one connection? For all models? Such as Goodman or Lennox too? Thanks, waiting for response

Are you not supposed to clean the heath shield and add new one? apparently it will short out the board if you dont clean it, i have never seen it but i have been told to do it before installing the new board.

Check to make sure that the control wires are wired correctly from inside air handler to outside condenser if they are then it is possible you have a bad indoor or outdoor board in my case it was an outdoor board

I have a H3 code for compressor overload, is it the board or the capacitor? The fan isn't tuning. I have the unit open and can't recognize a capacitor.
@engineeredcomforthvac49114 жыл бұрын
Justin Nelson there is a capacitor on the outside but check refrigerant charge and outside condenser after you have reset the system if the h3 code comes back its going to be the mother board
