Thank you for uploading this, It reminded me of my childhood. Βρε παιδια, ευκολο ειναι να λεμε "Αααχχ τι ωραια ηταν η Ελλαδα τοτε, και πως καταντησε σημερα... κλαψ..." Ααασε ΜΗΝ παραπαραπονιομαστε, Ωραιο και βουκολικο φαινεται στο στημενο βιντεο για τους ιθαγενεις απογονους των ενδοξων Αρχαιων, αλλα εκεινα τα χρονια ηταν μαυρα. Αμεσως μετα απο την φοβερη καταστροφη του Β'ΠΠ πηγαμε και βγαλαμε τα ματια μας μονοι μας με Εμφυλιο. ΦΤΩΩΩΧΙΑ, και δυστυχια βασιλευε, οι ανθρωποι παντα ελπιζαν για καλυτερο αυριο, αλλα υπηρχε διαχυτη η καχυποψια, φοβοταν ο κοσμος να μιλησει, μεταναστευση σε ολες τις οικογενειες. οταν ετρωγαν κρεας ηταν γιορτη, οσοι ειχαν ενα σαραβαλακι, ηταν πλουσιοι... Αντε εξηγησε τα αυτα στα σημερινα μιλλενιαλ πιτσιρικια οταν κολλαει το Αππλικεσιο και δεν παιρνουν αρκετα λαικς στο φατσοβιβλιο και στα τουιτερ.

Τότε μετανάστευαν εργάτες. Σήμερα μεταναστεύουν όλα τα μορφωμένα παιδιά. Φτώχεια τότε, αλλά και τώρα. Έχεις δίκαιο, τα χρόνια τότε ήταν δύσκολα, αλλά τουλάχιστον υπήρχε ανθρωπιά και ελπίδα για ένα καλύτερο μέλλον. Σήμερα δεν μπορείς να ονειρεύεσαι. Η Ελλάδα θα είναι χρεωμένη για τα επόμενα 100 χρόνια και βάλε...

@hoesey Don't need to leave the comfort of your home then, rent some DVD and keep watching documentaries on youtube. Some other people are aware that "tourism" is not necessarily being treated like a King, but mingling with locals and getting a taste of everyday's life, which I need to admit, is not always that easy in this country. You shouldn't hate your trips but say thank god you have the opportunity to see sth different, and having visited a land blessed with much more beauty than your own.

Sadly they have demolished the great mansions and it is all soviet style blocks now. Eg Glyfada and Boula up until ten years ago they used to be wealthy suburbs with villas, they are now full of modern crappy apartment blocks and shopping malls.

@jjgreek1 I am also Greek American. I lived in the US for 40 years and i am now living in Greece. Unlike yourself young man I do not blame the entire the country for the mistakes of the goverment.The U.S.will always hold a special place in my heart and i think it's great that you stand up for your country. But the U.S. is 15 trillion in debt ,I don't blame the american people, I blame the U.S. government. They did not ask my vote when they bailed out the banks or the auto industry.

Arvanites come from Dories not illyrians. They could understand albanian but that doesn't mean that they were albanians . That show that they live a lot of years with them .
