So that is happeningn in the Far North where theb Inuit are fleeing their homes and there are Wildfires in Siberia. There are so many wildfires that we have clouds of sparks. (The latter is from this weeks Nature Journal a respected Scientific Magazine.) I find it ironic that people are still flying to hot countries for their holidays. We have already forgotten about the people who were injured on the Singapore Flight. A man and his wife broke respectively, a neck and a back. There are more mega-storms due to global warming though the flight in question didn't insist on the use of safety belts which would have lessened some of the injuries. I am shocked that we live in a world of Science denial and that some people pose a scientists. It is in the interests of the multi-national companies that we carry on destroying the Earth.

what about using that gel stuff as fire prevention? I don't hear about it anymore it was invented what 35 years ago to help Ethiopia, it's a gel that swells to about six times it's size. if they spread this on the land before the fire season and dancing it especially when it gets hot now and again, if you keep the area moist and green is less likely to have any breakout of fire. this could be used around built up areas settlements cities and towns.

Wildfires and extreme temperatures have been the norm in Greece for decades and likely centuries
@WhichDoctor12 ай бұрын
You’ve just gotta look up a graph of average temperatures in Greece over time. Between the year 1900 and 2000 they go up a bit some years and then go down a bit others. But always stay in the same range. Then after the year 2000 they start going up, and they don’t stop. Every year on average hotter than the last. What happens to a country that just keeps getting hotter every year? Eventually everything burns and you’re left with desert. If only someone had predicted this and warned us. Oh wait, they did, back in the 80s. Maybe if the oil companies hadn’t spent billions convincing everyone those people were lying. Maybe then we wouldn’t be in this mess
