The Maroney (window sticker) is federally mandated. So they're breaking federal law. Now that Volvo's a Chinese own company they need to brush up on federal law.

The Monroney sticker named after the politician from Oklahoma that wrote the bill. Mike Monroney.

I have lived in China several years. Volvos in China cost a fraction of what you quoted for these in the USA, and in China all vehicles must have clearly stated window stickers. Add-ons are not allowed. It seems China is not the problem here but American dealerships and lack of regulation/oversight?

The 1970's thru about 2000 Volvos were great. Very easy to work on and relatively problem free. Then they started to coast on their reputation and produced cars that were overloaded with tech do-dads and much more failure prone as well as being difficult and expensive to repair. This is what Toyota has started doing. So sad.

I know a service manager at a volvo dealership in NYS.He laughed at all of the ignorant Doctors and lawyers buying these pieces of junk and his SECOUND laugh is how much money they get to constantly service them. I told him,he is a bigger thief than a used car dealer, he laughed and said they don't pay me 125000 dollars a year because of my honesty.

This dealership needs to be reported on. Yes, Arizona car dealerships must display Monroney stickers on new vehicles, but not on used vehicles: Monroney stickers Required for new vehicles in the United States, Monroney stickers display official information about the vehicle, including the VIN, warranty information, and the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Dealers are not allowed to modify or remove the stickers before selling the car.

Volvo is still the same as before the sale. Design, engineered, and manufactured in Sweden. I have owned many Volvos and had zero issues other than ball joints. Sorry you had one crashed car that was an issue.

Arizona doesn’t have a law that the car dealership has to display the window sticker for new cars. Pretty much Arizona doesn’t have a law for as car dealerships are concerned. They can pay much do whatever they want. But this is at Courtesy of Volvo of Scottsdale. I don’t like the way that they do business at all. My dad bought a truck from Courtesy Chevrolet and their sales and the service department has been nothing but awful.
@WheelsandWallets21 күн бұрын
That makes sense. Most dealerships in Arizona were not displaying their window stickers. They added an addendum sticker to every single vehicle new or used and it seems like they wanna play you like a fiddle as a customer. Definitely a not a place I wanna buy car.
@azsportsguy2521 күн бұрын
@ yeah. Arizona has some crazy dealerships as a whole. The used car dealerships out here is even more wild. The quality is just junk. Every local knows not to buy a car from Cactus Jacks Auto. The quality of used car is bad. You’re getting an almost 40% interest rate and the car won’t run for a year w/o a bunch of repairs. You should see for yourself

I own a 2020 volvo and from my experience.. People just dont know how to look after cars.. people moaning that their turbos have died after 100k miles? well how about you stop flooring it every time your at a red light and running it on the cheapest fuel you can find then wondering why the EGR fails. The hybrid models have issues for sure but thats mainly due to volvo using outdated motor tech. The ICE models are actually good so long you have common sense.

Most of the modern cars and trucks are a huge Big fail, to many useless complicated and fragile electronics that become out dated almost immediately after purchase. Overpriced junk Built in Obsolescence at its finest ,and will most surely need to replace almost immediately after each use. In other words these are disposable cars bought with disposable income in a disposable economy that is swirling in the Bowl.

People like to play the games, If they are not playing a game then they do not feel that they are getting a deal. Even when the price is great and the dealership is upfront customers are always gonna do what customers do. Customers generally have to lie to a dealership to keep the sales person/manager honest and so the dealership has to be silly from the beginning so the customer can can lie and play the game and the dealership can "make them a deal". That or everyone pays MSRP like at Tesla. Which one is better?

In northern New Jersey Volvos are everywhere, I’ve realized recently that different parts of the country drive different vehicles. Also the XC90’s are nearly 100k they top out at no more than like 75. I’m not from Arizona but I’ve heard of Scottsdale being an expensive area, there’s people out there can afford it, that’s there clientele, people aren’t cross shopping the dodge hornet to an xc40 but they do cross shop a bmw X1 or X2 or Mercedes GLA or GLB those type of cars.
